Located in the heart of the Viet Bac region, Thai Nguyen province has long been an important economic and educational center of the country. Especially in recent years, the province has attracted an increasing number of domestic and foreign investors to cooperate in development. Many large industrial zones have been built, leading to a mechanical increase in population due to labor migration from other localities.
Alongside the advantages in socio-economic development, the province also faces numerous challenges, particularly in the area of moral and lifestyle education within families. Population changes, cultural exchange, and the impacts of rapid urbanization necessitate the strengthening of traditional values, raising community awareness, and increasing family involvement in educating the younger generation. This is one of the key issues that the province's functional agencies at all levels have been effectively addressing.
Because the family is not merely a place for procreation, but also an environment for nurturing and educating future generations of citizens. At the same time, the family is the cradle for preserving, transmitting, and promoting the finest aspects of national culture, from the mother tongue to the customs, traditions, and distinctive lifestyles of the community. A warm, harmonious family that values education will contribute to creating good citizens for society. This is the foundation of national strength and reflects the sustainable development of society.
Vietnamese people are proud of their cultural traditions spanning thousands of years of history. Throughout history, the beautiful cultural values of the family have been formed, refined, and developed, becoming a solid spiritual foundation for the nation. These include love for the homeland, national pride, love for humanity, loyalty, filial piety, and a thirst for knowledge.
However, in the constant movement of modern society, the negative aspects of development have led to the degradation of some traditional moral values. Sad phenomena such as domestic violence, divorce, cohabitation without marriage, and adultery are increasing, eroding the beautiful norms that have been preserved for generations. This poses significant challenges in preserving and promoting the cultural identity of Vietnamese families.

To minimize negative social phenomena, in recent years, the provincial authorities and relevant agencies have intensified information and propaganda activities on moral and lifestyle education within families. From residential areas, propaganda on moral and lifestyle education within families has been flexibly integrated with emulation movements such as: "All people unite to build a cultured life"; "building new rural areas and civilized urban areas"; "exemplary grandparents and parents, filial children and grandchildren". On International Happiness Day, Vietnamese Family Day, and days against violence, relevant agencies organize rallies and parades to promote and integrate content related to family work, contributing to raising public awareness.
With a full understanding of the importance of moral and lifestyle education within the family, most people have become more conscious of building and preserving a happy family home. Many family-related clubs have been established, creating a healthy environment for people to meet, exchange, and share experiences on building family happiness, raising children, behaving respectfully towards elders, and living harmoniously with neighbors.
Particularly over the past three years, the province has widely implemented the Code of Conduct for Families to the entire population. As a result, families and clans have a direction in educating their children and grandchildren to be respectful to elders. Elderly people have also changed their behavior towards their children and grandchildren to be harmonious and appropriate for the digital society. These efforts not only contribute to strengthening traditional moral values but also build a civilized and progressive lifestyle, gradually pushing back social evils, for a better society.
