Dak Nong police determined to eliminate 500 temporary houses in 56 days

On May 12, at Bon Ting Wel Dom, Gia Nghia City ( Dak Nong ), Dak Nong Provincial Police held a launching ceremony for the 56-day peak campaign to eliminate 500 temporary, dilapidated houses in the province.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Deputy Minister of Public Security Pham The Tung affirmed that in recent times, the Ministry of Public Security, together with central ministries, departments, agencies and localities, has urgently and drastically implemented the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses (XNT, NDN) for policy households, poor and near-poor households, and people affected by natural disasters and climate change.

Implementing the Government's direction, since the beginning of the year, the Ministry of Public Security has mobilized all its forces to donate and support daily wages with a total budget of 362 billion VND to support XNT and NDN in Cao Bang and Gia Lai.

The Ministry of Public Security decided to support 30 billion VND for Dak Nong to support the construction of houses for 500 poor households, near-poor households, policy families, households not eligible for support from national target programs or have not received housing support before... who are facing housing difficulties.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi received 30 billion VND in support from leaders of sponsoring banks and Deputy Minister of Public Security Pham The Tung.

The Deputy Minister requested the Provincial Police, with its core role, to promote the great strength of the people's armed forces, actively contribute efforts, join hands with the political system and the people, strive to complete and exceed the program according to the set plan.

The Ministry of Public Security requested the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to direct the Provincial Police to coordinate with departments, branches, localities, youth union members, armed forces and construction units to build houses for people to ensure quality and on schedule.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Pham The Tung and Chairman of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi presented symbolic keys to households that were eligible to have their temporary and dilapidated houses removed.

At the ceremony, the Ministry of Public Security awarded 30 billion VND in funding from Agribank, BIDV, Viettinbank and Vietcombank to the province to implement the XNT and NDN program in Dak Nong province.

The Ministry of Public Security presents gifts to forces participating in supporting the implementation of the program; presents gifts from the Minister of Public Security to families eligible for support from the XNT and NDN.

On behalf of the provincial leaders and people in the province, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi said that over the past time, the Party Committee, government and people of Dak Nong have always received support and companionship from the Ministry of Public Security in implementing social security programs.

Despite many efforts, due to financial difficulties, Dak Nong has only completed and put into use 800 houses/1,700 disadvantaged households in need of XNT and NDN.

With 30 billion VND supported by the Ministry of Public Security, Dak Nong will build 500 more houses for households in difficult circumstances. As for the remaining temporary and dilapidated houses, the province is determined to complete them in 2025.

Dak Nong Provincial Police need to promote a sense of responsibility and determination to complete the work of XNT and NDN ahead of schedule, ensuring that within 56 days (until June 30, 2025), 500 houses for people in difficult circumstances in the area will be completed.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of districts, cities, commune, village, and hamlet authorities to closely coordinate with the Provincial Police to perform well the assigned tasks. The goal is to complete 500 houses before June 30, 2025 and put them into use.
