Hong Gai Ward Police make efforts to find lost phone for international tourist

With the spirit of wholeheartedly serving the people, Hong Gai Ward Police, Ha Long City, made efforts to support a Saudi Arabian tourist to find his lost phone while traveling in Ha Long City.

At 10:00 a.m. on June 9, 2025, Mr. ALQUARNI TALAL OMARS (born in 1981, Saudi Arabian nationality) went to Hong Gai Ward Police Station to report that while traveling in Ha Long City on June 3, 2025, he had dropped a mobile phone. Due to his group schedule, he could not search for it and continued to travel to Da Nang, then returned to Ha Long on June 9 to ask for help.

Immediately after receiving the information, Hong Gai Ward Police coordinated to assist tourists in verifying the location of the phone using GPS. However, the device displayed a location outside the Ha Long Bay area with an unstable signal, making it difficult to determine the exact location. During the search, officers and soldiers of Hong Gai Ward Police worked day and night to coordinate with tourism service units to check the entire suspected area.

On June 12, 2025, Mr. ALQUARNI TALAL OMARS was forced to leave Vietnam to continue his journey to Thailand. However, the Hong Gai Ward Police still made every effort to search for him.

On June 17, 2025, after many days of coordinated search, the authorities discovered Mr. ALQUARNI's phone in the Hang Luon beach area, Ha Long Bay. Hong Gai Ward Police quickly informed him of the results through the tour guide.

On June 24, 2025, Mr. ALQUARNI TALAL OMARS returned to Ha Long City to receive his property. Representatives of Hong Gai Ward Police coordinated with marine service businesses to hand over the phone to him. Moved and grateful for the sense of responsibility and enthusiasm of the Police force, Mr. ALQUARNI wrote a thank you letter, expressing his good impression of the image of Quang Ninh Provincial Police in general and Hong Gai Ward Police in particular.
