Dien Bien TV - On the afternoon of November 25, in Dien Bien Phu City, Dien Bien Provincial Police and the Public Security Department of Pu'er City, Yunnan Province, China held the 13th meeting on cooperation in ensuring national security; fighting and preventing crime and ensuring security and order between the two localities.

Dien Bien Provincial Police and Pu'er City Police Department signed a Memorandum of Understanding to ensure security, order and border security.

In an atmosphere of friendship and mutual trust, the two sides focused on evaluating the work of coordinating security and order and many other key tasks.

Accordingly, in 2024: The two sides have maintained good information exchange via hotlines to verify, receive, and return citizens who illegally enter and exit the country and information related to the implementation of security and order tasks; at the same time, they have stepped up consultations to upgrade the A Pa Chai - Long Phu opening into a pair of bilateral border gates, in order to create momentum to promote socio-economic development.

Dien Bien Police alone verified and received more than 40 illegal immigrants returned by China; discovered and arrested nearly 1,000 cases, with over 1,150 drug offenders; seized evidence included: Nearly 50kg of heroin and 45kg of synthetic drugs.

To continue to maintain order and security at the border, Dien Bien Provincial Police and Pu'er City Police Department have proposed and agreed on coordination contents in many aspects of work; at the same time, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to organize implementation in the coming time./.
