Ms. Hong is being investigated for the crime of "Tax evasion" as prescribed in Clause 3, Article 200 of the 2015 Penal Code.

During the investigation so far, Ho Chi Minh City Police have determined that Ms. Hoang Thi Minh Hong has evaded taxes of more than 5.2 billion VND.

Ms. Hong admitted her crime, filed a request and paid to remedy the consequences to enjoy leniency under the law; Ms. Hong's family representative paid in advance 200 million VND to the temporary account of the Department of Investigation Police on Corruption, Economic Crimes , and Smuggling - Ho Chi Minh City Police.

On June 5, the Investigation Police Agency (Department of Investigation Police on Crimes of Corruption, Economy, and Smuggling) of Ho Chi Minh City Police issued a decision to initiate a criminal case, a decision to prosecute the accused, and an order to detain Hoang Thi Minh Hong to investigate the crime of "Tax Evasion" as prescribed in Clause 3, Article 200 of the 2015 Penal Code.

The above decisions and orders have been approved by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Procuracy according to regulations.
