Announcing Vietnam Blockchain Talent Search Competition: VietChain Talents

The contest “Searching for Vietnamese Blockchain Talents: VietChain Talents 2025” is organized to discover, nurture, and gradually build high-quality human resources for the Vietnamese blockchain technology industry.

In order to achieve the goals of contributing to building a national blockchain ecosystem and network, promoting digital transformation and raising public awareness of new technology fields, on May 6 in Hanoi , the contest "Searching for Vietnamese Blockchain Talents: VietChain Talents 2025" was officially launched.

The competition was created to discover, nurture and gradually build high-quality human resources for the country's blockchain technology industry.

From the initial idea, the competition was organized and professionally sponsored by the Government Cipher Committee and the Vietnam Blockchain Association, and after a short time of announcement, it received active support from more than 50 units, including state management agencies, enterprises, large technology corporations, prestigious universities, and mainstream press agencies across the country.

Colonel, Dr. Hoang Van Thuc - Director of the Academy of Cryptography Techniques, Government Cipher Committee (Co-Chair of the Organizing Committee of the competition), member of the Jury, emphasized the commitment to accompany talents not only in this competition but also in the long-term journey, through training and forms of support to attract and employ talents. “Young talent is the foundation of a digital nation. We believe that through the VietChain Talents 2025 competition, a generation of Vietnamese blockchain engineers will mature, dare to think, dare to do and be competitive in the international arena”.

VietChain Talents 2025 has a total prize of up to 3.5 billion VND in cash, focusing on 4 topics. In which, the First Prize of Blockchain Layer 1 topic is worth 1 billion VND. The First Prize of the remaining 3 topics: Centralized and Decentralized Exchange, Blockchain Tracing and Blockchain Bridge are worth 500 million VND/prize.

In particular, universities and educational institutions have the opportunity to receive prizes worth 200 million VND/school when sending teams to compete and winning first prize in any topic.

Contestants are evaluated and voted by the Jury and the prestigious Expert Council from many leading agencies and units such as the Government Cipher Committee, Vietnam Blockchain Association, 1Matrix Company, Ministry of Science and Technology, Academy of Cryptography Engineering, etc. to help ensure the professionalism, quality, fairness and transparency of the competition.

Entries will be judged on a variety of factors, including the teams' self-assessment and commitment to promoting the solution in the future.

Also on May 6, 1Matrix Company, a member of the Vietnam Blockchain Association, officially launched before a large number of representatives of state management agencies, technology business partners and the domestic and foreign community.

Mr. Trung emphasized that, more than just a technology, the “Make in Vietnam” Blockchain Network will be a decentralized digital infrastructure for public data, public services, digital finance and distributed ledger technology (DLT) applications for Vietnam's digital economy.

"We aim to create a foundation of original technology - core technology from consensus algorithms, data mechanisms, network security, to user experience based on the inheritance of previous blockchain technologies. This will be the first blockchain service network designed and operated by Vietnamese people to meet international interconnection standards," said Mr. Trung.

At the event, Lieutenant General Dang Vu Son - Former Head of the Government Cipher Committee emphasized: "I believe that, with the support of management agencies, the close connection of the business community, research institutes and universities, especially the spread of initiatives such as VietChain Talents, we will gradually build a strong blockchain ecosystem, a safe and transparent digital infrastructure, contributing to ensuring national sovereignty in cyberspace, for a self-reliant Vietnam in the digital age."
