MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ Announced

The chipset builds on the success of its predecessor by improving performance while maintaining energy efficiency, helping to extend battery life and provide a better gaming experience.

The Dimensity 9200+ combines an Arm Cortex-X3 ultra-core running at 3.35GHz, three Arm Cortex-A715 cores running at up to 3.0GHz, and four Arm Cortex-A510 cores running at 2.0GHz. To boost gaming performance and other compute-intensive applications on the Dimensity 9200+, MediaTek has increased the chip's Arm Immortalist-G715 GPU by 17%.

The device features a 4CC-CA 5G Release-16 modem that seamlessly switches between long-range sub-6GHz connectivity and ultra-fast mmWave connectivity. The chipset also supports 2x2 + 2x2 Wi-Fi 7 with data speeds of up to 6.5Gbps, along with Bluetooth 5.3. MediaTek's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi coexistence technology allows Wi-Fi, Bluetooth low energy (LE) audio, and wireless peripherals to connect simultaneously with ultra-low latency and no data inference.

In addition, MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ also comes with key features including:

- HyperEngine 6.0: Further improve the gaming experience with automatic performance technology capable of maintaining high frame rates and minimizing lag.

- TSMC 4nm 2nd generation process: Ideal for ultra-thin designs with various form factors.

- Sixth-generation AI processor (APU 690): Efficiently supports AI noise reduction and AI super resolution tasks, and creates truly cinematic videos through real-time focus adjustment and Bokeh effects.

- MediaTek Imagiq 890: Powerful flagship-grade image signal processor helps support beautiful photography, delivering bright, sharp images and videos even in low light conditions.

- MediaTek MiraVision 890: Display technology with automatic refresh rate technology and motion blur reduction to bring smooth user experience.

- MediaTek 5G UltraSave 3.0: Power-saving technology that optimizes battery life for all 5G connection conditions.

Smartphones running MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chip are expected to be available on the market this May.
