Announcing the first round of competency assessment test scores of Ho Chi Minh City National University

Ho Chi Minh City National University announced the competency assessment test scores of nearly 94,000 candidates, with the valedictorian scoring 1,076/1,200 points.

Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh, Director of the Center for Testing and Training Quality Assessment, Ho Chi Minh City National University, said on the morning of April 15 that in more than 93,820 exams, the average score of candidates was 643.4/1,200. Only 80 students achieved over 1,000 points.

The candidate with the highest score achieved 1,076 points, 57 points lower than the top scorer of this exam last year.

Evaluating the score spectrum, Mr. Chinh commented that the score range is wide, demonstrating the ability to classify candidates well, which is favorable for the selection process.

The first round of the competency assessment exam was held by Ho Chi Minh City National University a week ago with nearly 94,000 candidates, a record high since the exam was first held in 2018.

The first round was held in 24 localities. Thua Thien - Hue, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh are three new testing locations, in addition to 21 localities as last year: Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Tien Giang , Ben Tre, Dong Thap, Vinh Long, An Giang, Can Tho, Kien Giang, Bac Lieu.

The exam results are currently used by 105 universities and colleges for admissions.

The second round of capacity assessment was organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University on June 2, in 12 localities, including: Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Binh Duong , Tien Giang, An Giang.

The school announced the results of this round on June 10.
