Awarding souvenir flags to the competing teams

The competition was attended by 10 teams from grassroots trade unions in manufacturing and trading enterprises in the garment industry. Participating in the competition, the teams went through 2 competitions: mechanics and tailors. In the mechanics category, each team consisted of one contestant, and in 30 minutes, they had to complete 2 theoretical and practical tests. In which, the technical requirement of the practical part was to re-calibrate the machine in some positions that had been previously offset, including adjusting the cam range of the needle and the sawtooth, adjusting the needle bar and adjusting the hook.

In the tailoring competition, each team of 3 people must complete 5 sets of products, including chef hats and aprons, in 120 minutes. The technical requirements for the products are single-needle machine seams with 6 stitches per 1cm in length, straight seams without skipping stitches, loose seams, neat hems, even hat pleats, no skewing, and correct specifications.

As a result, the First Prize belongs to the Trade Union of Son Ha Hue Company Limited, and the Second Prize belongs to the Trade Union of MSV Company and Impulse Fashion Tae Hee Export Garment Joint Stock Company.

According to Ms. Le Thi Thu Nam, Chairwoman of the Provincial Economic and Industrial Zone Trade Union, the contest aims to encourage union members and workers to work actively, practice new skills and working styles to become skilled workers; create an environment for workers in enterprises to exchange experiences, contributing to improving the creativity of workers. At the same time, it commends and honors skilled workers, further promoting the movement "Good workers - Creative workers" among union members and workers.
