On behalf of the leadership of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, President Do Thi Thu Thao received humanitarian support from the Government and people of the Czech Republic through President of the Senate of the Czech Republic Milos Vystrcil and the delegation.
According to President Do Thi Thu Thao, in recent times, consecutive storms and floods have caused severe damage in the Central region of Vietnam. The Central Committee of the Association has activated the emergency response system, mobilized disaster response teams, deployed relief supplies and supported people to soon stabilize their lives. This is not only timely material support for the people of the Central region but also a profound symbol of solidarity, friendship and international humanitarian spirit between the people of the two countries. The Association is committed to allocating support resources for the right purposes, to the right subjects and in a timely manner, contributing to helping people in flood-affected areas restore their livelihoods.

The Red Cross Society especially hopes that the Senate of the Czech Republic will continue to pay attention and create conditions for the Vietnam Red Cross Society and the Czech Red Cross Society to strengthen cooperation and move towards establishing a sister relationship between the two societies. This will be an important foundation for the two sides to: organize delegations to visit and exchange experiences; share effective models in disaster response, health care, blood donation and volunteer development; coordinate the implementation of bilateral humanitarian programs and support each other in joint initiatives of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, the President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society emphasized.
The President of the Vietnam Red Cross Society believes that the close cooperation between the two societies will make a practical contribution to the good friendship between Vietnam and the Czech Republic. The Vietnam Red Cross Society is always ready to act as a bridge to promote humanitarian initiatives for peace , friendship and sustainable development.

The President of the Senate of the Czech Republic believes that the most important foundation of friendly cooperation between countries is the spirit of mutual assistance and sharing. Vietnam is a country that regularly faces natural disasters, storms, floods and the increasingly serious impacts of climate change. This aid is not a very large resource, but its significance lies not only in its material value but also in the spirit of solidarity and commitment to overcome difficulties together. This aid not only demonstrates the good cooperative relationship between the two countries, but also serves as an inspirational message to the international community: When we cooperate, we will be stronger.
The President of the Senate of the Czech Republic also expressed his deep gratitude to the officers and staff of the Vietnam Red Cross Society for their dedication and tireless contributions; hoping that the spirit of mutual assistance will spread more widely, so that people around the world are ready to share and support when humanity needs solidarity, together preserving a safer and more humane world.
