Announcing the Vietnam Real Estate Market Standards Set

On the morning of November 21, the Vietnam Real Estate Brokers Association in collaboration with the Vietnam Real Estate Market Evaluation Research Institute held a press conference to announce the Vietnam Real Estate Market Forum - VREF 2026 with the theme: "Shaping standards for sustainable market development" and announced a series of standards and a system of criteria for evaluating standards for the Vietnamese real estate market.

2026 is considered a pivotal year for the Vietnamese real estate market when new laws begin to come into effect, leading to fundamental changes in structure, mechanisms and investment trends. In that context, the market not only needs growth signals but also needs an accurate data system and clear strategic direction, as a foundation for businesses and investors to make safe, effective and sustainable decisions.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh, Vice President of the Vietnam Real Estate Association, President of the Vietnam Association of Real Estate Brokers (VARS), said that entering 2026, the Vietnam Real Estate Market Forum will be held in the spirit of strongly responding to the Party and State's orientations on developing a safe, healthy, public, transparent and sustainable real estate market.

Currently, the legal system on land, housing, and real estate business is being increasingly improved in quality, and market supervision and management work is also being strengthened. At the same time, the demand for information standards, discipline, and responsibility of each entity participating in this market is also increasing. In addition, issues of public and transparent information are also emphasized in institutional regulations as well as handling orientations that are increasingly stronger and more effective.

The Vietnam Real Estate Market Forum - VREF 2026 with the theme: "Shaping standards for sustainable market development" this year not only aims to update information and share perspectives but more importantly, to create an open and responsible dialogue space where all parties listen and discuss outstanding market issues. Thereby, contributing to spreading the spirit of safe, transparent and sustainable development in accordance with the orientation of the Party and the State. This is considered an event to promote policy dialogue, share research information, connect domestic and foreign communities, and shape transparent, stable and sustainable development solutions for the Vietnamese real estate market in the new era.

At the press conference, the Organizing Committee officially announced a series of standards and a system of criteria for evaluating standards researched, developed and implemented by the Vietnam Real Estate Market Research Institute to provide effective evaluation tools, contributing to measuring and evaluating the market, evaluating groups of practitioners, real estate products and evaluating real estate market areas with efficiency, safety, operating in the right direction, safety, transparency and sustainability. Including the following standards: Vietnam Standard Real Estate Project Standards; Provincial Real Estate Market Competitiveness Index; Standards for assessing the capacity of banks to accompany in developing the real estate market; Standards for practicing real estate brokerage in Vietnam; Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct for real estate brokerage in Vietnam.
