According to the People's Committee of Cu Jut Commune, from November 17th to now, the water level of the Serepok River has been continuously rising. The local authorities have directed forces to patrol and inspect along the banks of the Serepok River to inform, propagate, and ask people to return home, not to fish or garden near the riverbank because of the danger of rain and floods. However, on the morning of November 21st, the authorities discovered Mr. Nguyen Van H. (49 years old, temporarily residing in Ea T'ling village 7) on Ong Lieu Islet in the middle of the Serepok River.
After gathering information from the Hydrometeorological Station and weather developments, realizing that the river water level would continue to rise on the evening of November 21, the commune mobilized forces and drones to bring Mr. H. to shore. At around 5 p.m. the same day, the authorities brought Mr. H. to shore with minor injuries. Mr. H. has now recovered and has been taken home, Mr. Ngo Quoc Phong added.
