
According to VNA correspondent in Israel, at the working session, Vice President for Research of Technion University, Professor Noam Adir shared about the university's outstanding strengths in training, research and application of science and technology , including artificial intelligence (AI), computer science, biomedicine, materials technology and innovation.
Technion leaders affirmed their readiness to expand cooperation with other countries through student-lecturer exchange programs, postgraduate scholarships, joint research projects and connecting startup ecosystems.
Ambassador Ly Duc Trung highly appreciated the academic reputation of Technion and emphasized that the need to develop high-quality human resources, especially in key areas such as high technology, artificial intelligence, semiconductor technology, biomedicine and digital transformation, is opening up many opportunities for practical cooperation between the two sides.
The Ambassador asked Technion to support Vietnam in accessing advanced training models and expanding joint programs suitable to the conditions and needs of Vietnamese universities. The Ambassador also asked Technion University to research cooperation and share water management and flood prevention technology with Vietnam.
The representative of the Department of Science and Technology proposed that Technion University cooperate with Vietnamese institutes, schools or technology enterprises to train human resources, conduct scientific research and transfer technology in three main areas that are the university's strengths: advanced technology such as artificial intelligence, automation, quantum technology and nanomaterials; the medical field with a focus on developing diagnostic technology, cancer treatment and gene therapy; sustainable development, including renewable energy solutions, water treatment and carbon emission reduction.
Technion University, founded in 1912 in Haifa, is Israel’s oldest and most prestigious university of engineering and technology. Technion is considered the “cradle” of Israel’s high technology industry, training many scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs and more than 3,000 experts who have contributed to the formation of the country’s globally renowned innovation ecosystem.
Technion currently has 18 faculties, 60 research centers, with more than 15,000 students, including more than 1,000 international students, and is regularly ranked among the world's top universities in engineering, computer science and technology, and owns many pioneering research institutes in AI, robotics, advanced materials, nanotechnology and biomedicine.
