According to the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group ( VNPT ), many fiber optic cable breaks have occurred. When the water temporarily receded, technical teams from VNPT Gia Lai and VNPT Dak Lak were immediately present at the scene to handle the situation. Hundreds of technical staff and materials were mobilized from neighboring areas, along with a 24/7 response plan, ensuring readiness for any arising situation.

In Khanh Hoa - where prolonged heavy rains caused deep flooding in many areas, on the night of November 19, 2025, VNPT quickly mobilized forces and deployed network repair work. At many locations, technical staff had to walk several kilometers to reach the problem locations. All efforts were made to ensure that no area was without signal, ensuring service for command and control, rescue - relief as well as voice and data connection for people.

Along with the infrastructure repair, network operators also quickly activated two-way roaming solutions in Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak , Gia Lai, helping to reduce network pressure and ensure continuous communication. Network operators' transaction points also promptly welcomed people to take shelter, charge their phones and information devices.

A representative of Vinaphone network said: Up to now, the telecommunications system of the provinces affected by floods in the South Central region has been basically restored. Currently, the network operators are continuing to deploy measures to ensure the network operates smoothly in the coming days.

In addition, from November 22-29, 2025, VNPT also launched a special support program for VinaPhone subscribers living in areas directly affected by floods.

Accordingly, during the support period, customers in areas identified by the authorities as flood zones will be given 100 minutes of domestic/international calls and 15 GB of data to use within 7 days. This is an urgent solution to help people maintain contact with their families, grasp instructions from the authorities and monitor weather warnings as well as disaster response plans.

VNPT's hotline 18001091 operates free of charge and continuously 24/7, increasing staff to receive and respond to all requests from customers. Thanks to that, the communication channel between people, local authorities and network operators is always maintained, contributing to rescue work as well as timely transmission of emergency information.

VNPT leaders affirmed that the Group always determines that ensuring communication, serving according to the direction of the Government , local authorities and supporting people is the top priority task, carried out with all resources and the highest spirit of readiness.
