Dak Nong's industrial sector accelerates from the first quarter.

Through various decisive measures, Dak Nong's industry accelerated its breakthrough growth right from the first months of 2025, creating momentum for the following months.

In the mining industry sector, since the beginning of the first quarter of 2025, Dak Nong Aluminum Company – TKV has implemented numerous competitive measures to resolutely achieve its production and business targets.

Products from the Nhan Co Aluminum Plant are currently exported to many countries around the world.

From the beginning of the year, the company launched a 90-day production emulation campaign, aiming to achieve 185,000 tons of alumina equivalent or more in the first quarter of 2025. Alumina consumption is targeted at 175,000 tons or more.

Throughout the year, Dak Nong province promptly implemented various solutions to address difficulties in raw material supply, helping to maintain and stabilize production at the Nhan Co alumina plant.

Simultaneously, the company has implemented technological solutions to modernize its alumina production line. Specifically, this includes repairing and upgrading the control systems in workshops such as coal gasification, hydrate calcination, and thermal power plants.

Dak Nong Aluminum Company strives to produce 185,000 tons of alumina equivalent or more in the first quarter of 2025.

At the same time, the company automated several areas and equipment such as: Boilers No. 1 and No. 2 in the thermal power plant, 12 gas generators in the coal gasification plant, and the hydrate kiln.

The company moved some of the monitoring and control stations for auxiliary areas to centralized control and monitoring at the central control room for those areas…

The company is coordinating with local authorities to continue effectively carrying out land compensation and clearance work, preparing stable and long-term production areas.

Similarly, in the processing industry, Thinh Phat Macadamia Import-Export Trading Company Limited (Gia Nghia) is also accelerating its efforts to achieve its production targets.

Thinh Phat Macca Sachi Import-Export Trading Co., Ltd. is directly exporting freeze-dried fruit to the US market.

According to Nguyen Thi Ngoc Huong, Director of the company, in the first three months of the year, the business had made two direct exports to the US market, with a total volume of nearly 60 tons of products.

These are the company's main freeze-dried products, including: durian, pineapple, dragon fruit, rambutan, mangosteen, etc.

According to Ms. Huong, 2025 will be the first year the company directly exports goods. The most obvious advantage is that the market for agricultural products shows brighter signs than last year. This is because consumers are now mostly gravitating towards using pure, unprocessed fruit products.

While the company's total production for the entire year of 2024 was only 60 tons, this year it has already reached that figure within the first three months. It is projected that for the whole of 2025, this production volume will be 2.3 times higher than the previous year.

Freeze-dried fruits are becoming increasingly popular among consumers.

To achieve a significant breakthrough, right from the beginning of the year, the company invested in freeze-drying equipment with a capacity five times greater than the old equipment, achieving a drying output of 1.5-2 tons per batch.

"This is the largest freeze dryer on the Vietnamese market, used for drying all kinds of fresh fruits and agricultural products. Its outstanding advantage is that the resulting product retains its original quality, color, and flavor," Ms. Huong stated.

Removing obstacles

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, the industrial production index (IIP) in Dak Nong in the first quarter of 2025 is estimated to increase by 5.89% compared to the same period in 2024.

In the first quarter of 2025, industrial production in Dak Nong remained relatively stable. Most key industrial products showed an increase compared to the same period last year.

Dak Nong continues to support and create favorable conditions for the stable production of the Nhan Co alumina plant.

With strong progress since the beginning of 2025, Dak Nong's industrial sector is showing many positive signs of achieving its growth targets. The synchronized implementation of solutions to overcome difficulties, investment in technological innovation, and development of key projects will continue to be the driving force behind the province's industrial development.

To ensure sustainable growth, Dak Nong is actively addressing obstacles related to mineral resource planning and the Power Development Plan VIII.

Once these issues are resolved, the province will be in a favorable position to implement a series of key projects, thereby boosting industrial production.

Comrade Ngo Thanh Danh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dak Nong province, inspected the Dak Nong Aluminum Electrolysis Plant Project in mid-March 2025.

Dak Nong continues to support and create favorable conditions for the stable production of the Nhan Co Alumina Plant. At the same time, the province is providing even stronger support to ensure the early completion and operation of the Aluminum Electrolysis Plant, achieving its designed capacity for Phase I. In addition, the province is urging the acceleration of infrastructure investment in the Nhan Co 2 Industrial Park.

The province continues to mobilize capital from domestic and foreign economic sectors to invest in industries with competitive advantages such as: processing agricultural and forestry products; mining and processing minerals; supporting industries for the development of the bauxite industry, and downstream aluminum products…

One of Dak Nong's strategic directions is to promote the development of renewable energy, especially wind and solar power. The province is coordinating with relevant units to overcome difficulties in the implementation of wind power projects, ensuring the progress of commercial operation.

Agricultural processing is one of Dak Nong's advantageous industries.

Developing renewable energy projects not only helps supplement the electricity supply for industrial production, but also contributes to the province's goal of green and sustainable economic development.

Dak Nong's industrial sector is experiencing strong growth right from the first months of the year. Proactive technological innovation, overcoming difficulties, and attracting investment will be key factors in helping the province achieve its target of an 8% increase in industrial production index in 2025.

In the first quarter of 2025, Dak Nong's mining industry grew by 3.38%; the processing and manufacturing industry by 5.72%; the electricity, gas, hot water, and steam production and distribution industry by 6.04%; and the water supply, waste management, and wastewater treatment industry by 8.79%.
