On this occasion, the Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee presented 110 Tet gifts to workers, each worth 1.3 million VND.
Many workers were moved by the attention, support, and encouragement they received from Party and State leaders during the period leading up to Tet (Lunar New Year).
As the youngest child in a family from Nam Giang district (Quang Nam province), Lo Loong Tuyen (22 years old, a worker at Hoa Khanh Industrial Park) chose to stay in Da Nang to work extra hours instead of returning home for Tet.

Tuyen said this was her first Tet holiday away from home. Although she missed home very much, she had to take care of her elderly father back in her hometown, so she had to "put Tet on hold" to work part-time at a noodle shop to earn extra income. On February 15th (the 6th day of the lunar calendar), Tuyen returned to work at the company.
Having started working in Da Nang in May 2023, Tuyet Bang (from Soc Trang province) is once again spending Tet away from home this year due to the high cost of returning. With a combined salary of over 10 million VND per month, she and her husband carefully manage their finances to provide for their two children's education.
Ms. Bang revealed that even with the most economical budget, returning to her hometown would cost over 20 million VND. "The round-trip bus fare alone is 6 million VND, not including the cost of clothes, children, and family... so it's very difficult to go home," Ms. Bang said.
This Lunar New Year, Ms. Bang is working part-time, while her husband is working as a gas station attendant to earn extra income because the pay is higher than usual.
