Bad news has just come to Jesse Lingard. The former MU midfielder's fashion company Be Yourself Clothing Ltd has been officially shut down by the UK's Companies House for failing to submit its financial statements on time.
The latest filing shows the company has been fined £750 for breaching regulations. Be Yourself Clothing Ltd was previously ordered to close in April. Its most recent accounts (ending 31 January 2023) show it has debts of £54,000, unsold stock worth more than £25,000 and just £4,700 in its accounts.
Before Be Yourself Clothing, Lingard also voluntarily liquidated JLingz Ltd - a once-famous personal fashion brand, after incurring debts of up to £276,000.
Leaving England without fanfare, Lingard found joy again in South Korea with FC Seoul. After 8 months of unemployment, he signed a 2-year contract with the capital team and initially adapted well to K.League 1. Up to this point, Lingard has scored 4 goals in 16 matches, helping FC Seoul temporarily rank 7th on the rankings.
The former MU star shared: "Life in Korea is very good, I quickly adapted to the football style here". He even admitted to comfortably enjoying McDonald's fried chicken or Papa Johns pizza.
Lingard's career seemed to have hit a dead end after unsuccessful spells at Manchester United and Nottingham Forest, but he gradually found his way back to life in Asia.
