Vietnam Machinery Installation Corporation – JSC (Lilama) has just officially started the installation of a complex of 27 green hydrogen production modules for the H2Gs Project (Stegra) at Lilama 69-3 Mechanical Manufacturing Factory in Quang Phuc Commune, Tu Ky District ( Hai Duong ).
Previously, since the end of July, Lilama has deployed the manufacture of this 27-module complex.
Lilama is expected to complete, test and hand over the product to the general contractor and investor by the end of 2025.
Products are manufactured according to international standards and exported to the European market, complying with the standard system EN 1090-2, PED, ASME B31.3, ISO 3834.
The general contractor of this project, Thyssenkrupp Nucera, also awarded a certificate of 3 million safe working hours to Construction Team No. 2 of Lilama - the unit assigned by the corporation to carry out the work of manufacturing and assembling the green hydrogen electrolysis equipment system.
This is also an important milestone marking the efforts and responsibility of Lilama's staff, engineers and workers in ensuring the progress, quality and safety of the project.
The H2Gs (Hydrogreen steel project), renamed Stegra in September 2024, is a global strategic project in the chain of green hydrogen projects aimed at reducing CO2 emissions in the steel industry.
The project focuses on three main pillars: green hydrogen production, green iron and green steel to reduce CO2 emissions in steel production. The project has received significant financial support from Swedish and European Union industrial support programs.
Since the end of 2023, Lilama has signed contracts to produce dozens more modules, contributing to affirming Lilama's position in the global green energy supply chain.
Lilama is one of the first enterprises in the world to participate in the global green hydrogen production chain supply chain, contributing to the implementation of Net Zero emission targets.
