Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen was born into a farming family in Ea M'Droh commune . Life was already difficult, but it became even more difficult when she had only 1/10 vision due to congenital nystagmus.
Seeing the board clearly, reading books or writing has become a big challenge for me. I also often face headaches and eye strain which forces me to temporarily stop studying, but I have never thought of giving up.

Huyen's house is nearly 20km from Le Huu Trac High School, so she has to rent a house and take care of all her own living expenses. There were times when she was tired and had eye pain and had to take time off school to see a doctor. But when her eye pain subsided, she continued studying with the belief that she could learn, that if she could learn, she could do it... Knowing her situation, teachers always paid attention and encouraged her to give her more strength.
Thanks to that, Huyen had the motivation and clear learning goal of having a job suitable for her health condition. During the 3 years of high school, Huyen always achieved the title of excellent student of the school and achieved high prizes in provincial excellent student competitions; won 2 Gold Medals in the 10-3 Traditional Olympic Competition, Silver Medal in the 30/4 Traditional Olympic Competition...
Mr. Pham Long Ho, Vice Principal of Le Huu Trac High School, commented that Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen could not see the words on the board clearly, so she chose to pay attention, listen to the teachers and read books diligently to grasp knowledge; proactively interacted with teachers to ask more about unknown things and achieved remarkable results, becoming a shining example of perseverance in overcoming difficulties in studying and life of many students.

With a total score of 28 points in block C00 (Geography 10, History 10, Literature 8), Thanh Huyen plans to enroll in the Geography Pedagogy major, University of Education, Hue University (Hue City) to have the opportunity to stand on the podium to "support" children in their studies.
The path of studying away from home is not easy for every student; hopefully Thanh Huyen will overcome all difficulties to become a teacher who inspires the will to live for many students as she wishes.
