Voters propose increasing allowances for non-professional staff at the grassroots level

On the afternoon of November 9, the delegation of the Provincial People's Council had a meeting with voters of Nam Hong and Dau Lieu wards and Thuan Loc commune (Hong Linh town). Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Van Ky also attended.

At the meeting with voters, Provincial People's Council delegate Nguyen Huy Hung reported to voters on the socio- economic situation, national defense and security in 2023; the socio-economic development plan, national defense and security in 2024; expected main contents of the last session of 2023, the 18th Provincial People's Council; results of handling voters' opinions and recommendations sent to the 14th session, the 18th Provincial People's Council.

Voter Nguyen Thi Tuong (Thuan Loc commune): Propose the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee to consider supplementing monthly allowances for deputy heads of mass organizations; Standing members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and members of the Standing Committee of mass organizations at the commune level.

Participating in the comments, voters of Nam Hong and Dau Lieu wards and Thuan Loc commune said that the Government's issuance of Decree No. 33/2023/ND-CP regulating commune-level cadres, civil servants and non-professional workers at commune, village and residential group levels has shown concern for these subjects.

However, voters recommended that the Provincial People's Council and Provincial People's Committee consider and adjust the allowance level and expand the beneficiaries of allowances for non-professional workers at the grassroots level to suit the working conditions of wards and communes according to the classification of administrative units.

At the same time, voters suggested that the Provincial People's Council and Provincial People's Committee continue to pay attention and consider the overall increase in salary and allowance levels and expand the beneficiaries for grassroots cadres, especially part-time cadres in residential groups.

Voter Nguyen Xuan Ho (Nam Hong ward): Requests authorities at all levels to promptly resolve land backlogs.

Voters of the wards also hope that the Provincial People's Committee will continue to support resources to implement urban beautification programs and projects so that the town can soon complete the criteria to achieve a type III urban area; especially mobilizing resources to build Thuan Loc commune into a ward by 2025.

On behalf of the delegation of the Provincial People's Council, delegate Nguyen Huy Hung and representatives of leaders of a number of departments, branches and sectors received and explained the contents under their authority. The recommendations and proposals of voters will be compiled and classified to be submitted to the Provincial People's Council and relevant agencies for consideration and resolution.

On the afternoon of November 9, the Provincial People's Council delegation held a meeting with voters in the communes of Son Chau, Son Binh, Son Long, Son Tra, Tan My Ha and An Hoa Thinh (Huong Son).

At the meeting, the provincial People's Council delegates reported on the socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, and implementing social security policies in Ha Tinh since the beginning of the year; tasks and solutions to implement socio-economic plans for the end of the year; and some contents to prepare for the upcoming provincial People's Council meeting.

Voter Phan Quoc Tri (Son Chau commune) gave his opinion at the election session.

Participating in the comments, voters reflected that on National Highway 8, through Bai Tram village, Son Chau commune, the drainage system only operates in one direction (from Duc Tho to Huong Son), the opposite direction is always blocked, causing traffic safety problems. Many voters expressed concern about traffic accidents on the inter-district road from Son Long commune (Huong Son) to Duc Bong commune (Vu Quang) due to severe damage while the traffic volume is very large.

Voters suggested that the Provincial People's Council continue to have mechanisms and policies to support communes in the area to complete the criteria for building new rural areas, building advanced new rural areas, and civilized urban areas; promptly resolve shortcomings in the issuance and renewal of land use right certificates for people; have solutions to maintain and repair the embankment along Ngan Pho River, the section through Son Long commune; improve the quality of medical examination and treatment at Huong Son Medical Center; increase allowances for grassroots staff...

On behalf of the delegation of the Provincial People's Council elected in Huong Son, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Quang Tho discussed and clarified some issues that voters were interested in; requested the district to focus on resolving outstanding issues in the area. The opinions and recommendations of the voters will be received, synthesized, classified by the delegation of the Provincial People's Council and submitted to the Provincial People's Council meeting and sent to relevant levels and sectors for consideration and handling according to their authority.
