Leaders of Phu Chanh Ward People's Committee confirmed this afternoon (June 26) that the incident occurred in the area, and the initial cause was an exploding power bank.
Later that afternoon, a video was shared on Facebook showing a rented room suddenly exploding, with flames bursting through the windows.
At that moment, several residents of the boarding house were going about their daily activities in the hallway, including a woman who had just wheeled her motorbike into her room a few meters away when the explosion occurred.
When residents of the boarding house approached to investigate, a second explosion occurred inside the room, followed by flames erupting from the window, causing panic. However, they subsequently broke down the door and used mini fire extinguishers to put out the fire.
