To motivate the children to practice more, a series of exchange activities with the above units, Nestlé MILO brand and artists were organized at schools in the city including Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, Marie Curie High School, Hong Ha Secondary - High School, Hung Vuong High School... from November 18 to November 25.

The practice atmosphere was "hotter than ever" when the artists appeared on the school grounds.

The exchange session opened with an inspiring speech from Ms. Huynh Le Nhu Trang - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City. Through her sharing, the event not only plays an important role in responding to and honoring the achievements of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training in the past 50 years but also supports the launch and formation of a regular sports movement for students in the city.

Not only did the students learn more about the meaning of the event through the sharing, they also received a surprise gift of encouragement from Nestlé MILO - performances from famous artists. At Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, singer Orange - a former student of the school, performed the song "When I Grow Up" with the message that the students will always be brave and confident in the journey ahead. This emotional performance created a special highlight, turning the whole school yard into a fan meeting full of energy and youthfulness.

The message from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training and the artists has motivated many students, including Kieu Nguyen Quynh Anh (grade 10), one of the members of the ensemble. She said this was an opportunity she had never had before: "My most memorable memory was when everyone practiced together, even though we were tired, we always tried to adjust each movement to make the performance more complete."

Having practiced many sports such as dancesport, basketball and aerobics, and competed in Nestlé MILO Cup school sports tournaments, Quynh Anh said Vovinam helped her develop both physically and mentally: "At first, it was very difficult to practice because my body was stiff, but after a period of regular practice, I became healthier, more focused on studying and happier mentally."

Nguyen Le Quynh, grade 10, boasted that thanks to more than a month of practice, she got to know many new friends and learned many things: "Vovinam exercises help my body and my friends become stronger, create opportunities to bond and help me communicate more with people," Quynh added.

As a national Intangible Cultural Heritage, in recent years Vovinam has become one of the subjects included in concert activities and promoted in schools because of the benefits it brings to students.

Mr. Nguyen Tu Cuong, an athlete of the Ho Chi Minh City Vovinam team and the National team, directly participates in the instruction of the performance. He clearly sees the positive changes that Vovinam can bring to students in recent times. “Through martial arts, students not only improve their physical strength, but also learn perseverance, nurture national pride, and the will to overcome difficulties... all of which are values that help them grow up and become stronger in life,” he added.

Aiming for a double record with the students, Nestlé MILO, as a sponsor and strategic partner, has always actively joined hands with the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City and the Vietnam Vovinam Federation to implement this performance program.

During its 30 years of presence in Vietnam, the brand has always been steadfast in its mission of nurturing a dynamic and healthy Vietnamese youth generation through a variety of sports activities within the framework of the Dynamic Vietnam program. From there, Nestlé MILO contributes to laying a solid foundation for the comprehensive development of the young generation, where each student is encouraged to exercise, confidently express themselves and learn many valuable lessons from sports such as perseverance, patience, team spirit and solidarity.

The training phase is entering an important time, and the series of exchange activities in the past few days has helped students become more excited to join hands for the record. The main event on November 30 is expected to not only be the moment to set a Vietnamese and world record, but also become a remarkable milestone of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, recognizing the development of the school sports movement and the strong spread of Vovinam in the student community of the city in particular and the whole country in general.

In the coming days, the schools will continue to perfect their lineups and improve the quality of their performances to prepare for the historic double record-setting day.
