Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan are two coastal provinces, bordering each other, connected by many traffic routes, including coastal routes, creating favorable conditions for economic and tourism development.

Potential coastal route, opening the future for Khanh Hoa - Ninh Thuan

The coastal route connecting Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan is about 120km long, starting from Nguyen Tat Thanh Avenue (Nha Trang City) to Phan Rang - Thap Cham City (Ninh Thuan).

Departing from Nha Trang city center, you will go to Nguyen Tat Thanh avenue and then enter Cu Hin pass.

Crossing the winding Cu Hin Pass, about 8km long, you will travel on a road with many resorts and bungalows by Bai Dai beach. There is also a bustling Cam Ranh international airport with dozens of domestic and international flights every day.

After crossing Long Ho bridge, you will enter Hung Vuong avenue (national highway 1) in Cam Ranh city, Khanh Hoa province. Drive about 30km to Cong Hai commune (Thuan Bac district, Ninh Thuan province).

The coastal route of Ninh Thuan connecting with Khanh Hoa starts from the northern point at Cong Hai commune, running 50km to Phan Rang - Thap Cham city.

Along the way, you will not only be able to explore famous landmarks but also immerse yourself in the unique nature. The first highlight is the high-class resort Anara Binh Tien located in Cong Hai commune (Thuan Bac district, Ninh Thuan).

Currently, Cam Ranh port is present on the coastal route connecting these two provinces, thus creating very good conditions for the development of the marine economy of the two provinces.

In addition, Ninh Thuan currently does not have a civil airport, however, on the coastal route connecting these two provinces there is Cam Ranh International Airport (Khanh Hoa), this will contribute significantly to promoting economic and tourism development of Ninh Thuan.

Mr. Tran Hoa Nam - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee - said that the coastal route connecting Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan is not simply a traffic connection between the two provinces, this connection brings many positive consequences, including tourism and economic development.

According to Mr. Nam, in addition to the main national highway, the above coastal route is also an option for vehicles carrying tourists from Cam Ranh International Airport to Ninh Thuan.

Regarding the overall development of the ecosystem around the route, Mr. Nam said that in the future, tourism projects along this route will develop strongly, and at the same time, the route helps connect residential areas together.

"In addition to the goals of promoting economic and tourism development, this coastal route also serves national security and defense goals," said Mr. Nam.

Mr. Chu Van An - Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Construction - said that the above coastal route not only connects Khanh Hoa - Ninh Thuan, but also connects with coastal routes of the central coastal provinces.

Sharing the same view, Mr. Truong Van Tien - Director of the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Ninh Thuan province - said that the coastal route has contributed to exploiting the potential and advantages of the sea and coastal areas of Ninh Thuan, especially the potential for tourism.

According to Mr. Tien, since the opening of the coastal route, Ninh Thuan province has had the right to choose investors, especially for tourism investment projects.

"Along the coastal route of Ninh Thuan province, many investors have been interested in developing tourism," said Mr. Tien.

Mr. Nguyen Van Vinh - Director of Ninh Thuan Department of Construction - analyzed: the province's planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, determines that the planning focuses on developing 3 corridors including expressways, coastal routes and expanding development along the East - West axis to create regional and inter-regional connections.

In which, the coastal development corridor is planned along the coastal route (701, 702) from North to South and the coastal area.

“The connection is expected to create a “boost” for the local socio-economic development, especially “awakening” hundreds of thousands of hectares of barren coastal land in the southern region,” said Mr. Vinh.
