Quang Duc commune strives to exceed budget collection plan

The Bac Phong Sinh Border Economic Zone, covering over 9,300 hectares, is located within the administrative boundaries of Quang Duc commune. From the beginning of the year to July 25th, import and export turnover through the Bac Phong Sinh Border Gate reached over 46 million USD with 1,962 customs declarations. The main export items were kaolin; other goods exported through the border gate included frozen seafood and sawn acacia wood. Exports by border residents mainly consisted of frozen seafood, water hyacinth, sedge, joss paper, longan, and handicrafts made from rattan and bamboo. Leveraging the advantages of the Bac Phong Sinh Border Economic Zone, Quang Duc district is determined to continue investing in infrastructure to promote import and export activities in the area, as well as orienting development towards a comprehensive, multi-sectoral economic zone model to attract businesses to invest in the area.

Import and export turnover through Bac Phong Sinh Border Gate, Quang Duc commune, reached over 46 million USD in the first 7 months of 2025.

Ms. Hoang Minh Nguyet, a customs officer responsible for detailed document inspection at Bac Phong Sinh border gate, stated: "When receiving and inspecting detailed documents from businesses, as well as conducting physical inspections of goods, the Bac Phong Sinh border gate customs office is committed to creating favorable conditions, especially during detailed document inspections. Simultaneously, we proactively guide businesses in changing the geographical location once the necessary procedures are completed as directed by higher authorities."

Customs officers at Bac Phong Sinh Border Gate, Quang Duc commune, are conducting inspections of exported goods.

From July 1st, 2025, the Bac Phong Sinh Border Gate Customs will implement automatic assignment of tasks as directed by the relevant authorities. This automatic assignment helps shorten the time for both customs agencies and import/export businesses operating in the area. In July 2025 alone, 15 businesses completed import/export procedures in the area, bringing the cumulative total for the first seven months of 2025 to 35 businesses.

With its newly expanded space and increased area, Quang Duc commune has identified and defined key directions in achieving its socio-economic development goals. Simultaneously, it continues to exploit the advantages gained after the merger to create favorable conditions for people and businesses to develop agricultural and forestry production and trade, generating revenue for the local budget. In the first six months of this year, budget revenue in the commune reached over 527 billion VND, achieving 50% of the annual plan.

Agriculture, forestry, and aquaculture are the sectors that Quang Duc commune has identified as key areas for exploiting its economic development potential.

Quang Duc commune operates its administrative apparatus efficiently, prioritizing administrative procedure reform to create favorable conditions for citizens and businesses.

Mr. Phan Van Viet, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Duc commune, said: "With the advantage of forest land and agricultural development, the commune focuses on ensuring the maintenance of forest cover and planting large timber trees, developing sustainable forests. At the same time, the commune focuses on land clearance work, coordinating with investors to implement the Quang Thanh - Quang Duc Industrial Cluster, which is expected to be operational in 2027 to generate revenue and attract jobs in the area. The commune also promotes the development of border gate trade and services and trade and services in residential areas and the central area of the commune. With these orientations, Quang Duc focuses on implementing measures to ensure budget revenue of over 1,055 billion VND in 2025."
