Jota's funeral was held on Saturday morning in Gondomar, his hometown near Porto, where he started his career at the age of 17 before moving to Pacos de Ferreira. The Gondomar city council also decided to fly flags at half-mast for a day in memory of the brothers.
According to initial investigations, the Lamborghini carrying the two brothers had a tire blowout while overtaking another vehicle on the A52.
