In 2018, the song Nguoi am phu by rapper Osad became a phenomenon of Vietnamese music . Just a few days after its release, the song quickly received millions of listens, entered the top 5 search trends on Youtube and spread everywhere on social networks. To date, Nguoi am phu has surpassed the milestone of more than 103 million views on Youtube.

The success of the song helped Osad become famous. He quickly became one of the most popular rappers at that time. Taking advantage of his popularity, he released the songs Cu lac, Em co the, Ngay cho thang nho nam thuong.

Osad had a period of time when he almost "disappeared" from the music market. The male artist said that he spent his time studying and practicing his ability to compose and produce music.

Seven years after the success of Nguoi Am Phu, Osad confidently released his debut album called O_O with 15 songs, in collaboration with music producer Onionn. The songs in the album revolve around Osad's journey of growing up.

He wants to use his own musical story to send a message to young people pursuing their passion.

“I know there are a lot of people who don't appreciate me and feel like I'm nothing special. I want to make this album to prove that special things can be created by ordinary people,” he said.

Talking about the pressure after the success of Nguoi Am Phu, Osad admitted that he always had a concern that the audience would think of him as "an internet phenomenon, a rapper who got lucky when he only became famous with one song" . That is what made his music restricted and limited.

So he wants to prove that if he has enough determination, passion and perseverance on the path he has chosen, he will definitely succeed.

This time back, he thinks more openly, makes music freely and knows how to "let it be". During the process of working and growing up, Osad realized that when he looks at everything from an artistic perspective, there is nothing wrong or right, it's simply how he feels and how the audience receives it.

According to OSAD, his debut album is a bet to help him step out of his comfort zone.

"In the past, there were times when I made music but the results were not as I expected. After each failure, I wanted to bet bigger. I was not successful because I did not do well enough. I put everything I could into the album from effort, time to money.

Making music is like gambling. Before releasing a song, I'm not sure if it will be successful or not, or how people will react. I just do my best and hope for good results," he affirmed.

Osad (real name Mai Quang Nam), born in 1997 in Hung Yen . The male rapper and singer is best known to the audience for his hit song Nguoi am phu when he was in his third year of mechanical engineering at Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
