"AI in action 2025" competition kicks off with Unitour nationwide

The launching ceremony of the “AI in Action” 2025 competition has just taken place at Ho Chi Minh City National University with the participation of many students. This is the starting point of a series of Unitour events in three major cities, followed by Da Nang University of Technology (September 8) and Hanoi University of Technology (September 16).

The competition is co-organized by Vietnam Television, National Data Center, National Data Association and Techcombank , offering a global AI scholarship opportunity worth 1 million USD and a total prize value of billions of VND.

According to the Organizing Committee, Vietnam currently has nearly 800 Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning start-ups, and 60,000 IT students graduating each year. However, the gap between research and practical application remains. “AI in Action” is expected to become a “launching pad” to help students and start-up groups turn their ideas into products, thereby contributing to improving Vietnam’s position on the global technology map.

Unitour 2025 focuses on four goals: inspiring AI creativity, connecting universities with businesses, providing information on rules and necessary skills for candidates, and building a dynamic and sustainable young AI community. Notable activities include displaying practical AI applications, talk shows with career guidance experts, interacting with the program production team on VTV, and many technology gifts.

This series of activities will continue to be implemented at many universities and startup communities nationwide to select excellent teams to register for the competition. This will be a place to update the latest AI trends to help students understand the labor market needs in the field of artificial intelligence and spread the passion for technology, connect and build a young, dynamic and creative Vietnamese artificial intelligence community.
