Ho Chi Minh City: Training on artificial intelligence application for Party officials and civil servants

The Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee has just issued an urgent document on organizing a training conference on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) for cadres, civil servants and public employees at Party agencies in the city to improve work efficiency and keep up with the digital transformation trend.

The conference aims to raise awareness of the role, potential, and application direction of AI in innovating working methods; to equip participants with knowledge and skills in using popular AI tools for consulting, information synthesis, text analysis, supporting plan development, report drafting, and solution proposals, etc.

Officials and civil servants in Party-affiliated agencies will receive training in applying AI skills in performing their duties.

At the same time, the conference also helped to foster the right and responsible attitude in using AI, ensuring safety and security, in line with political and legal orientations and the requirements of Party building work in the digital transformation period.

The conference was held online, connecting from the central hub, and took place over four days (from September 9th to September 12th).

At the Ho Chi Minh City venue (City Hall, 111 Ba Huyen Thanh Quan Street, Xuan Hoa Ward), the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee presided, with the participation of City Party Committee members, leaders, and officials from specialized agencies advising and assisting the City Party Committee.

At the grassroots level, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of each agency and unit presides. Attendees include leaders, officials, and employees from Party Committees directly under the City Party Committee; the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City; political and social organizations of the city; Party Committees of wards, communes, and public service units; departments, boards, and agencies...

The conference is expected to introduce popular AI tools, including practical applications of ChatGPT for research, document synthesis and analysis, planning, and reporting. In addition, there will be thematic discussions on security breaches, misinformation, and the principles of using AI in a politically correct, safe, and effective manner.
