Bao Ha Temple Festival is held on the 17th day of the 7th lunar month every year. It is an important cultural and religious event, deeply associated with the spiritual life of the people, while contributing to preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values of the nation.
Bao Ha Temple is a national historical-cultural relic, a place to worship national hero Hoang Bay, a talented general of the Le Dynasty who made great contributions to protecting the northern border of the Fatherland. His merits and virtues have been deeply imprinted in the folk consciousness, becoming the pride of generations, and over the centuries Bao Ha Temple has become a sacred place, a convergence of Vietnamese culture, beliefs and spirituality.

According to the People's Committee of Bao Ha commune, the Bao Ha temple festival in 2025 will be held according to traditional rituals, with careful and elaborate preparations for each event.
Along with cultural, artistic and sports activities, spiritual rituals such as: Ethnic cultural space, peace praying ceremony, floating flower lanterns, sacrificial ceremonies, processions, incense offering ceremonies... are also organized on a large scale, methodically imbued with national cultural identity.
The festival is an occasion for people to remember and pay tribute to the merits of their ancestors; an opportunity to unite the community, educate patriotic traditions, foster national pride, and at the same time promote the image of Lao Cai in general and Bao Ha in particular to friends near and far.


The festival aims to honor the national cultural identity, raise awareness of all levels, sectors and people of all ethnic groups in Bao Ha commune in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values; at the same time, propagate and promote to tourists from all over the world the potential strengths of Bao Ha commune, thereby increasingly attracting a large number of tourists from all over the world to the national historical-cultural relic Bao Ha temple.
