Receiving 65 Vietnamese citizens returned by Cambodia

On November 4, at Hoa Lu international border gate, Dong Nai province, Hoa Lu international border gate Border Guard Station coordinated with the Immigration Management Department, Dong Nai Provincial Police and a number of functional agencies of the province to receive 65 Vietnamese citizens returned by the General Department of Immigration, Ministry of Interior of Cambodia.

Of the 65 Vietnamese citizens repatriated by Cambodia this time, 64 escaped from an online fraud facility in Banteay Meanchey province and 1 citizen was arrested for illegal residence in Oddar Meanchey province. Before being repatriated to Vietnam, these citizens were detained at the Detention Center, under the General Department of Immigration, Ministry of Interior of Cambodia in Siem Reap province.

Citizens were received at the Hoa Lu International Border Gate Border Guard Station.

The group of 65 Vietnamese citizens returned by Cambodia this time have permanent residence in 24 provinces and cities including: An Giang, Bac Ninh, Ca Mau, Dong Nai, Dong Thap, Lao Cai, Lang Son, Lam Dong, Gia Lai, Quang Tri, Quang Ngai, Quang Ninh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Son La, Tay Ninh, Tuyen Quang, Thanh Hoa, Can Tho City, Da Nang City, Hanoi City , Hai Phong City, Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh Long. The oldest citizen is 40 years old, the youngest is 16 years old.

After receiving the citizens returned to Vietnam by Cambodia, the Hoa Lu International Border Guard Station coordinated with the police of the provinces and cities where the citizens were permanently residing to work with the citizens and complete the receiving procedures according to the law. The Border Guard Station then handed over the citizens to the representatives of the local authorities where the citizens permanently resided to bring them back to their families.
