This special event, scheduled to take place from November 22 to December 31, is being held by the Hanoi Opera House in collaboration with Hexogon Vietnam before the Opera House enters a period of renovation and maintenance expected to last from 1.5 to 2 years. The project is not only a performance but also a cultural preservation project, aiming to honor heritage and connect the past with the present through the language of light art.
According to Mr. Chu Anh Hung, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Opera House, the Opera House is not just a performance venue, but a cultural work, a historical witness, considered a masterpiece of art and a " musical sanctuary" for more than a century. This is the crystallization of architecture, performing arts, and aspirations. This project brings great community value, solving the reality that many people, especially Hanoians, have never had the opportunity to step inside the theater, but only stop at the steps. Opening the Opera House to welcome the loving public is a rare and meaningful opportunity. The organizing committee and production team, with their passion for the Opera House and Hanoi, decided to carry out this project to create a truly beautiful memory before the project's curtain falls. The ultimate goal is for the audience, after experiencing it, to love more the values they inherit from the past, love more history, love the Opera House and especially love Hanoi city.

The project has redefined the way the public approaches the Opera House. Audiences will no longer sit on rows of red seats facing the stage as before. Instead, they will be immersed, interacted and become part of the flow of the story. In this immersive experience, the entire architecture of the Opera House from the auditorium, dome, lobby, stairs, to the stage, will transform into storytellers. Audiences will be able to walk deep inside the opera house, discovering the beauty, stories, and "unknowns" that have long been forgotten.

Speaking at the project announcement, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Bac, Director of the Department of Performing Arts (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) expressed his emotion and absolute confidence in the technology performance art project "115 years of storytelling theater - Heritage speaks with light and technology", assessing this as a correct and timely step of the production team and the Opera House. People's Artist Xuan Bac said that the Opera House is not only a simple performance venue, but also a "cultural work, a historical witness", a place where architecture and performing arts are crystallized.
People's Artist Xuan Bac revealed that, even now, he still receives messages from audiences, including his retired high school math teacher, that they "have never been to the Opera House". People's Artist highly appreciates the project name "115 years of storytelling theater" because emotions are drawn from stories. This project will turn the "curiosity" of those who have never been to the Opera House into "an artistic experience combined with culture". The Director of the Department of Performing Arts affirmed that cultural values are eternal values, and cultural and artistic emotions cannot be given to each other, but "must be experienced". If only heard, he believes that this project will be successful and attract audiences.
