According to the Organizing Committee, the purpose of the contest is to arouse the pride of generations of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the Vietnamese tax sector in the glorious tradition of 80 years of construction and development; thereby, spreading the tradition of solidarity, unity and joint efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges, thereby creating a vibrant emulation movement to successfully carry out tax tasks and successfully implement the Tax System Reform Plan to 2025 and the Tax System Reform Strategy to 2030.
The contest also aims to affirm the role, position and important contributions of the Vietnamese tax sector in the cause of building and defending the country. In addition, it contributes to promoting widespread public awareness of the Vietnamese tax sector and the important achievements and contributions of the Vietnamese tax sector in the country's development.
Contestants are Vietnamese citizens living in Vietnam and abroad; foreigners living in Vietnam (except members of the Organizing Committee, Jury, staff, reporters, editors of Tax Magazine, and individuals who are the focal points for receiving entries).
The content of the entries should focus on reflecting the outstanding achievements of the tax sector in 80 years of construction and development; depicting historical milestones, clarifying and highlighting the contributions of the tax sector to the cause of national construction and defense; thereby, affirming the core values of the tax sector's manifesto: "Transparency", "Professionalism", "Integrity", "Innovation".
Through the contest, the Organizing Committee hopes to have articles and stories reminding people of the lessons learned that have created the good traditional values of the tax industry over the long journey of 80 years of construction and growth.
In particular, the Organizing Committee hopes to receive articles recording the assessment of people and businesses on the process of reforming and modernizing the tax sector; suggesting issues in building and developing the Vietnamese tax sector in the current and future stages; proposing practical solutions for the tax sector to continue to build, perfect and successfully implement the Tax System Reform Strategy in the new situation.
The entry must be an article of no more than 3,000 words, written in Vietnamese. If the article has been published in newspapers and mass media, the time of publication must be clearly stated.
The time for receiving entries is from the date the contest is launched until April 29, 2025 (based on the postmark ).
Regarding the prize structure, including:
1 Special Prize, worth 20 million VND;
2 A prizes, each worth 15 million VND;
4 B prizes, each worth 10 million VND;
6 third prizes, each worth 7 million VND;
10 Consolation prizes, each worth 5 million VND.
In addition, based on the results of the contest, the Organizing Committee will award a number of collective prizes (each prize worth 5 million VND, with a Certificate of Merit from the General Department of Taxation for units with many good quality entries and at least 1 prize-winning work).
In particular, the winning works and quality works at the contest will be selected and printed in the book "Imprints of the Vietnamese tax industry in 80 years of construction, innovation and development" to serve the propaganda work of the tax industry.
