At around 7:00 p.m., while playing soccer with friends in Cu Chi commune, Mr. B. (30 years old) suddenly felt dizzy, lost his balance, and collapsed on the field.
Within 20 minutes, he was taken to Xuyen A General Hospital. In the emergency room, the doctor recorded blood pressure of 200/100mmHg, suspecting a stroke. He immediately ordered an MRI and discovered a right cerebellar infarction.

The patient was given an intravenous injection of a thrombolytic drug to help reopen the blocked blood vessel. After just a few minutes, Mr. B.'s dizziness subsided, his balance was restored, and he was able to walk again.
Dr. Le Minh Man, Department of Neurology, Xuyen A General Hospital said: "If the patient arrives later, brain cells will be irreversibly damaged. People need to recognize early signs of stroke according to the FAST rule, and take the patient to the nearest facility with a stroke center."

After seven days of treatment, Mr. B. has fully recovered. Doctors recommend that patients control their blood pressure, quit drinking alcohol, and avoid overexertion, which can easily trigger strokes in people with underlying medical conditions.
This case is a warning to young people: stroke does not only happen to the elderly. Exercise needs to be moderate and appropriate because just one minute of delay in treatment can cost a life.
