The Drug Administration of Vietnam requires medical facilities to urgently contact pharmaceutical businesses to promptly supply the above drugs for treatment needs.
This afternoon (July 31), according to the announcement of the Drug Administration Department ( Ministry of Health ), with the close direction of the leaders of the Ministry of Health, the Drug Administration Department and the efforts of pharmaceutical businesses, the supply of drugs to treat hand, foot and mouth disease has been determined to ensure the demand for treatment of the disease, which has been increasing recently.
Regarding immunoglobulin infusion, following the import of 6,000 bottles of immunoglobulin infusion imported by Duy Anh Pharmaceutical Trading Company Limited in June 2023, it is expected that this week, Central Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company CPC1 will import an additional 3,000 bottles of immunoglobulin infusion out of a total of 15,000 bottles that have been licensed for import. The import is ready, depending only on arranging flights as soon as possible.
For injectable drugs containing the active ingredient Phenobarbital, the Drug Administration has granted an import license to Central Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company CPC1 and the company has currently imported 21,000 tubes of the drug to Vietnam.
The Drug Administration of Vietnam requires medical examination and treatment facilities to urgently contact pharmaceutical businesses to promptly supply the above drugs for treatment needs, and at the same time, it is necessary to strengthen responsibility in ensuring drug supply, building drug demand in the coming time, especially rare and unavailable drugs, providing information for pharmaceutical businesses to be proactive in finding sources of supply and building drug supply plans.
"Planning, forecasting and ordering by medical facilities are the most important factors in ensuring drug supply," the Drug Administration emphasized.
