Many businesses are now offering promotions on Lunar New Year calendars to attract consumers.

These days, many stationery stores and bookstores are selling Lunar New Year calendars for the year 2026 (Year of the Horse) in various sizes, colors, and themes.

While traditional Lunar New Year calendars simply served to show the date and month, these products have now been improved, with each page featuring cultural content, heritage images, nature scenes, and more, all designed in an eye-catching way.

This year, the Lunar New Year calendar market is considered diverse in both form and content. Desk calendars, weekly calendars, and block calendars in various sizes continue to explore familiar themes such as spring colors, rural landscapes, famous Vietnamese landmarks, bonsai, cuisine , tourism, and festivals.

The image of the Year of the Horse (Bính Ngọ) is prominently featured on many products, predominantly in red and yellow, conveying many messages of good fortune...

Prices remain relatively stable compared to 2025. Desk calendars range from approximately 70,000 to 250,000 VND per item; standard block calendars range from 200,000 to 750,000 VND per item, depending on size and design. Larger block calendars feature more elaborate designs, focusing on paper quality and imagery, targeting the gift-giving market.

At Ms. Truong Ngoc Hue's stationery store (Long Chau ward), many Lunar New Year calendars are arranged into themed groups for customers to easily choose from. The store is currently offering a 20% discount on all calendar products to attract buyers in the early part of the season.

Ms. Hue said: "Customers should choose to buy calendars about 1-2 months before Tet (Lunar New Year), when suppliers have just released their first batch of products. At this time, there are still enough designs, the printing quality is consistent, and it's easier to find a calendar that suits your taste."

At Fahasa Bookstore in Vinh Long (Long Chau Ward), block calendars and desk calendars are displayed attractively with the characteristic red color of spring. Medium and large-sized block calendars are selling best thanks to their elegant design, making them suitable for gifts.

Many designs feature themes such as "Brilliant Vietnam," "Vietnam in Brocade," and "Glory of Vietnam," along with lines of feng shui calendars, interior design calendars, and jewelry... This company is currently running a 20% discount program for individual customers buying block calendars until December 31st, and also applying good discounts for large quantity orders.

Besides traditional calendars, Phuong Nam Bookstore's Vinh Long branch (Long Chau ward) is introducing a new product line this year aimed at young consumers: desk calendars with notepads, mini notebooks, habit tracking pages, and personal planning tools.

These calendars are not only for checking dates but also help users develop time management skills, perfectly suited to the tastes of today's youth.

Lunar New Year calendars, whether modern or traditional, still hold special spiritual value, serving as New Year's greetings and wishes for good fortune and blessings. As the transition to the new year approaches, new calendar pages not only signal a new beginning but also preserve the cultural beauty within each Vietnamese family.

Ms. Khanh My, a resident of Phuoc Hau ward, shared: "As the new year approaches, my family always buys a wall calendar to create a festive atmosphere for Tet."

My family regularly teaches our children to maintain the habit of looking at useful images and information on the calendar.”
