Da Lat: Seized more than 2.5 tons of frozen food of unknown origin

On May 7, Lam Dong Provincial Police said they had just discovered and seized more than 2.5 tons of frozen food of unknown origin in Da Lat City.

Specifically, during the food safety inspection as planned by the Provincial Police, the Economic Police Department inspected the Milk Dinosaur Company Limited (address: 48 Dinh Cong Trang Street, Ward 7, Da Lat City), directed by Mr. VVT (born in 1987, residing in Nam Dinh ). Ms. PHN (born in 1986, residing in Lao Cai) was the authorized person to work with the authorities but could not present any relevant invoices or documents.

Through inspection of the company’s two cold storages, the authorities discovered about 2,592 kg of frozen food of unknown origin and without labels as prescribed. The goods included items such as chicken feet, bamboo rice, beef balls, fish eggs, stuffed snails, salmon fins, buffalo tongue, shrimp spring rolls, etc.

The number of foods without product labels according to regulations was temporarily detained.

Currently, all the goods have been temporarily detained for investigation and handling according to the law. The case is being further clarified.
