Da Nang: 450 cases of traffic safety violations in just one week

In just 7 days, from June 30 to July 6, Da Nang City Traffic Police discovered and recorded 450 cases of violations of regulations on road traffic order and safety.

Among the violations handled, speeding is still the most common behavior with 74 cases. Specifically, although important routes such as La Son - Tuy Loan Expressway, Nam Hai Van bypass, National Highway 1 have been installed with signs, surveillance cameras and patrol posts, many drivers still speed, recklessly overtake, regardless of the danger. This is also the main cause of many serious accidents, causing loss of life and property, leaving serious consequences for families and society.

Da Nang City Traffic Police discovered and fined more than 74 cases of speeding in just the first 7 days of July 2025.

In addition, 41 cases of violations of alcohol concentration regulations were handled. Statistics also show that during the week, there were 21 cases of driving vehicles violating lanes and road sections.

Alarmingly, the Da Nang City Traffic Police also recorded 13 cases of drivers not having a driver's license.

Da Nang Traffic Police discovered many cases of alcohol concentration violations and not wearing helmets.

In addition, the situation of people not wearing helmets when riding motorbikes still exists with 12 cases being handled.

According to the Traffic Police Department of Da Nang City, recently the number of vehicles and traffic participants violating speeding has increased, even topping the list of traffic safety violations despite the system of signs, surveillance cameras and patrol teams covering the main arteries and main roads in and out of the city. The fact that many drivers disregard the danger and speed recklessly is also the main cause of serious accidents, taking the lives of themselves and other innocent people.

"To prevent this, in the coming time, the city's traffic police will continue to increase patrols and controls 24/7, and resolutely and strictly handle violations.
