On May 29th, at its second session, the Da Nang City People's Council passed a resolution on the expenditure level for non-refundable aid funds provided to localities in Laos for the training and education of Lao students in Da Nang City.
The city provides various financial support for Lao students, including tuition, living expenses, and health check-ups; it also assists with transportation and dormitory accommodation.

Notably, international students pursuing college, university, and Vietnamese language training receive a living allowance of 4,750,000 VND per person per month; while postgraduate students receive 5,350,000 VND per person per month.
Initial equipment support is provided at a rate of 5,800,000 VND per person. Lao students studying in Da Nang also receive travel expense support of 1,000,000 VND per person for a round trip.
For teachers sent by the city to teach Vietnamese in Laos, Da Nang provides a living allowance of 25,000,000 VND per person per month for teachers recruited independently.
By the end of March 2026, the total number of Lao students currently studying in Da Nang who have received scholarships from the city is 678. This includes 2 PhD students, 64 Master's students, 553 undergraduate students, and 59 college students from the provinces of Savannakhet, Champasak, Salavane, Sekong, Attapeu, and Bolykhamxay. Da Nang also has 10 teachers currently teaching Vietnamese in Laos. The total estimated expenditure for 2026 is approximately 62 billion VND.
