According to the Da Nang City Tourism Promotion Center, throughout the Lunar New Year (Year of the Horse) 2026, Da Nang will organize a series of diverse cultural and festival activities imbued with the spirit of traditional Tet. Highlights include programs such as the Spring Fair 2026, the An Hai Folk Tet Festival, the Traditional Tet Space, the Tet Market - Spring Procession, and the Vietnamese Tet 2026…

Notably, familiar activities such as making banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes), receiving calligraphy blessings from calligraphers, folk games, and traditional art performances are arranged in many public spaces, allowing visitors not only to "see Tet" but also to truly "live in Tet".
The festive atmosphere of spring continues with celebratory art programs, including traditional opera performances, folk singing, and street music , taking place in central streets, residential areas, and tourist destinations. The flexible, intimate yet restrained and culturally rich organization contributes to a vibrant yet unhurried atmosphere, embodying the true spirit of Vietnamese Tet (Lunar New Year) in a modern city.
One of the highlights of the Spring Festival of the Year of the Horse 2026 is the New Year's Eve fireworks display, held simultaneously at many locations throughout the city. Not only concentrated in the city center, the fireworks will also extend to the heritage site of Hoi An, creating a seamless and emotionally rich festive spectacle.

According to the plan, from 0:00 on February 17, 2026 (New Year's Eve), six main fireworks display locations in the center of Da Nang will simultaneously light up the city sky for about 15 minutes. In addition, a fireworks display at Con Bap Tourist Area (Hoi An ward) will expand the viewing area, spreading the spirit of spring from the Han River bank to the ancient town.
Organizing fireworks displays on a city-wide scale, encompassing heritage sites, not only provides a sacred moment to welcome the new year but also demonstrates Da Nang's ability to organize synchronized and well-organized events, where spring is not limited by geographical boundaries but is fully felt within the rhythm of daily life.
Not limited to the early days of the year, the festival season in Da Nang is designed to extend throughout February and early March 2026, offering many flexible options for spring travel.
Notable events include the Light & Heritage Festival at Hoi An Memory Island, the Tulip Festival at Sun World Ba Na Hills, the God of Wealth Festival at Mount Than Tai, the Lantern Festival, and traditional craft village and folk festivals such as the Tra Que Flower Offering Ceremony, the Tuy Loan Village Temple Festival, the New Year boat race, the Sticky Corn Festival, etc.

This series of activities not only serves tourists but also attracts a large number of local people, contributing to maintaining the cultural life, strengthening community bonds, and creating a spring atmosphere that spreads throughout the city.
During the Lunar New Year holiday, many tourist areas, attractions, museums, and cultural sites in the city remain open throughout to serve the needs of visitors. From Sun World Ba Na Hills with its spring opening activities and multi-day flower festivals; museums that open to visitors from the first day of Tet; to traditional craft villages, ecotourism models, and community tourism in Hoa Vang and Son Tra districts, Da Nang offers a diverse tourism landscape, suitable for various groups of visitors and different experiential needs.
During the Lunar New Year holiday of the Year of the Horse 2026 (February 14-22, 2026), it is expected that more than 1,500 flights will be operated to Da Nang, averaging about 175 flights per day, a significant increase compared to the same period last year. Both international and domestic routes recorded a significant increase, reflecting the high demand for travel during the long holiday.

Meanwhile, according to reports from accommodation establishments, occupancy rates at many 4- and 5-star hotels have reached 80-90%, demonstrating Da Nang's clear appeal to domestic and international tourists right from the beginning of the year.
With synchronized preparations, a multi-dimensional festival space, and emotionally rich highlights such as New Year's Eve fireworks spreading across the heritage areas of Hoi An and Da Nang during the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, it will not only be a place for celebrating and traveling during the spring, but also a journey to touch the culture, history, and authentic rhythm of life in Central Vietnam.

Spring here, therefore, not only marks the beginning of a new year, but also creates a strong impetus for the city's tourism, trade, and service activities right from the start of the year.
