Da Nang is buzzing with excitement ahead of the fireworks festival's final night.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Quynh, Chairman of the Da Nang City Hotel Association and General Director of Furama, stated that the projected occupancy rate for the entire city during the DIFF 2024 final night is approximately 90%. Currently, most 3-5 star hotels and resorts in Da Nang are fully booked for this weekend (July 12-15).

“Furama Resort alone has been fully booked since July 1st. Besides tourists coming to watch the DIFF finals, many guests are staying to attend singer My Tam's live show (on the evening of July 14th at the Ariyana Convention Center in Da Nang). Most accommodations are maintaining stable prices while improving service quality, providing a better experience for tourists,” Mr. Quynh shared.

The DIFF 2024 final night took place on July 13th, but by this time, the expanded grandstand area with a capacity of over 10,000 seats had already sold out very quickly. Meanwhile, tickets for grandstand A1 were being resold online for nearly 2 million VND, even though the official price set by the organizers was 800,000 VND.

On the Han River, more than 20 licensed cruise ships have already sold out tickets for the fireworks finale 10 days in advance. Tickets for the Han River dragon boat to watch the finale cost between 2.2 and 2.7 million VND (including food and drinks).

Flights to Da Nang during this period increased in frequency to 120-125 flights per day; on July 13th alone, this number rose to 150 flights, a 1.5-fold increase compared to normal days. Tourism stimulus policies implemented by the railway sector also contributed to the increase in the number of visitors to the city.

Notably, hotels have recorded additional guests traveling by road from neighboring provinces such as Quang Ngai , Quang Nam, and Thua Thien Hue... to watch the DIFF 2024 final night.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director of the Da Nang City Department of Tourism, during the three nights of the DIFF 2024 qualifying rounds, the total number of overnight visitors reached over 198,000, an increase of nearly 12% compared to the same period of DIFF 2023. Of these, international visitors accounted for over 80,000 (an increase of nearly 30%) and domestic visitors over 117,000 (a slight increase of over 2%).
