Da Nang is bustling before the final night of the fireworks festival

Mr. Nguyen Duc Quynh - Chairman of the Danang Hotel Association, General Director of Furama said that the forecast for guests staying at the final night of DIFF 2024 is that the total room capacity in the city is estimated at about 90%. Currently, 3-5 star hotels and resorts in Danang are mostly fully booked this weekend (from July 12 to 15).

“The Furama Resort alone has been fully booked since July 1. In addition to the number of tourists coming to watch the DIFF final, many guests stayed to watch singer My Tam’s live show (on the evening of July 14 at the Ariyana Convention Center in Da Nang). Most accommodation units have kept prices stable, while improving service quality, bringing a better experience to tourists,” Mr. Quynh shared.

‏‏The final night of DIFF 2024 took place on the evening of July 13, but up to this point, the expanded grandstand area with a capacity of more than 10,000 seats has "sold out" very early. Meanwhile, tickets for grandstand A1 are being sold online for nearly 2 million VND, although the organizers sell tickets for 800,000 VND.‏

On the Han River, more than 20 licensed cruise ships have sold out tickets for the fireworks finale 10 days ago. Tickets for the Han River dragon boat to watch the finale range from 2.2 to 2.7 million VND (including meals).

Flights to Da Nang during this time increased in frequency to 120 - 125 flights per day; on July 13 alone, there were 150 flights, 1.5 times higher than usual. The railway tourism stimulus policies also contributed to increasing the number of visitors to the city.

In particular, hotels recorded more guests traveling by road from provinces such as Quang Ngai, Quang Nam , Thua Thien Hue... to watch the final night of DIFF 2024.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An - Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City said that during the 3 nights of the DIFF 2024 qualifying round, the total number of guests staying reached more than 198 thousand, an increase of nearly 12% over the same period of DIFF 2023. Of which, international visitors reached more than 80 thousand (an increase of nearly 30%) and domestic visitors reached more than 117 thousand (a slight increase of more than 2%).
