Previously, the People's Committee of Da Nang City issued Official Dispatch No. 326/UBND-SNV, requesting the Department of Science and Technology to deploy information technology students to support communes and wards in the initial phase of operating the 2-level local government model.
Based on the needs of communes and wards, the Department of Science and Technology has worked with FPT University and Vietnam-Korea University of Information Technology and Communications to discuss issues related to sending information technology students for support.
Accordingly, mobilize final year students, with priority given to students with permanent residence in the locality, to directly support wards and communes. Up to now, 57 IT volunteer students from 2 schools have registered to go to 29 communes and wards in the first batch.

At the training session, students were trained in professional skills and expertise in implementing the city's document management system; administrative procedure settlement system software; guiding people on how to use administrative procedures, online public services and content that needs support at the commune-level public administration service center.
Training, professional guidance, and implementation of digital transformation; using popular AI (artificial intelligence) tools in administrative and office work... It is expected that in early August 2025, wards and communes will receive the first batch of student volunteers.
After the training session, the Department of Science and Technology will continue to compile documents, arrange focal points and a professional support system to promptly answer all questions of students, helping them quickly carry out local support work in the most effective way.
