Pilot Nguyen Van Son (in the middle) was found in the forest.

Pilot Nguyen Van Son was found at around 10 PM. He was found in a mountainous area of Tay Phu commune, near where pilot Quan was found earlier. Son's health is stable, and he is currently being brought out of the forest.

Thus, both pilots involved in the military plane crash in Binh Dinh on the morning of the same day (November 6th) have been found in stable health.

Earlier, at 6:56 PM on November 6th, Mr. Tran Thanh Hai, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 5, managed to contact Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hong Quan, the flight commander of Air Force Regiment 940. Mr. Hai instructed Unit 573 (which was approximately 500 meters from Lieutenant Colonel Quan's location) to quickly approach and bring the pilot to the Ham Ho area (Tay Phu commune, Tay Son district) for medical care. At the same time, Mr. Tran Thanh Hai also shifted his search to Colonel Nguyen Van Son and has now located him.

Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, was present in Tay Phu commune (Tay Son district) to direct the search for the missing pilot.

As previously reported, a Yak-130 military aircraft belonging to the 940th Air Regiment, Air Force Officer School, crashed after experiencing an incident at noon on November 6th.

At that time, the 940th Air Regiment organized training flights right at Phu Cat airport with Yak-130 aircraft, flying long distances, through low-altitude areas, and through clouds under complex meteorological conditions.

The training flight was piloted by Colonel Nguyen Van Son, the Regiment Commander, in the forward cockpit, and Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hong Quan, the Flight Chief, in the rear cockpit. This was the second flight of the day for the forward cockpit pilot in the flight crew.

The aircraft took off at 9:55 AM, and at 10:38 AM, upon completing the landing approach, the pilot reported that the landing gear was not deploying. Emergency landing gear deployment procedures were attempted, but without success.
