This year's Art Exchange Program takes place in the context of Vietnam and China celebrating the 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations (January 18, 1950 - January 18, 2025) and the Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange Year 2025.

This is a milestone of great significance in the history of bilateral relations, an opportunity for the two countries to look back on the journey of cooperation, solidarity, and development, while continuing to foster the precious traditional friendship between the two peoples.
Mr. Ngo Minh Hien, Deputy General Director of Voice of Vietnam, shared that over the past 75 years, we have inherited and promoted the traditional friendship of "both comrades and brothers" that has been built and nurtured by generations of leaders of the two countries.
This year is the second consecutive year that the Voice of Vietnam has coordinated with the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Radio and Television Bureau and Guangxi Radio and Television Station, China to organize the art exchange program "Vietnam-China Friendship Songs".

The event has gradually become a meaningful annual activity, not only bringing unique artistic performances, but also being a space for cultural and spiritual exchange between artists and audiences of the two countries.
This year's program marks the first time that Hong Kong Radio and Television (China) has participated. This is a new development, demonstrating the depth and breadth of the media and cultural cooperation between Voice of Vietnam and its Chinese partners, opening up many prospects for more exciting exchange activities in the future.

The program opened with the medley "Tu Quy Medley, Luu Thuy Kim Tien Xuan Phong Long Ho and the work Ly Ngua O Nam". This is a traditional performance, blending the quintessence of folk music from the three regions of North, Central and South Vietnam.
The program brought special performances, elaborately staged, performed by Vietnamese and Chinese artists. On the Vietnamese side, there was the participation of Meritorious Artist Phan Thu Lan, Meritorious Artist Dang Thuat, singer Ngoc Ha and the New Vitality Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Dong Quang Vinh.
Representing China are prominent singers such as Tran Dat, Nong Trac Phi, Vuong Nhat Phuong and Hong Kong artist Kandy Wong.

Sharing his feelings right after the performance, conductor Dong Quang Vinh emotionally said that he had participated in most of the Vietnam-China art exchange programs, but this was the first time he brought the New Vitality Orchestra to perform at the program.
He expressed: "Vietnamese music is very rich and diverse, not only melodious and soft but also has warm and enthusiastic melodies, similar to the nature of Chinese music. Through the program, we want to bring the unique features of Vietnamese music, so that you can feel the warmth and hospitality of the Vietnamese people. Through the program, we also learn more about the musical art of your country."
The program lasted for 2 hours with many songs with typical musical tones of the two countries performed by artists in both Vietnamese and Chinese, bringing special and impressive emotions to the audience.

Mr. Hoang Tri Hang, Deputy Director of Guangxi Radio and Television Department, said that the art exchange program co-organized by China and Vietnam has gone through 20 years, becoming a model of China-Vietnam audiovisual media cooperation, not only a vivid proof of the close friendship of "Both comrades and brothers", but also carries the good vision of colleagues in the two countries' industry, towards strengthening cooperation and mutual development.
Mr. Ngo Minh Hien expressed, “Vietnam-China Friendship Song” is not only an art performance, but also a space for sharing, cultural exchange and harmony across borders. This will be a great harmony of tradition and contemporary, of identity and creativity, where each melody is a greeting, each performance is a message of friendship.
