National Assembly deputies meet voters of Yen Son district before the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly

On the morning of October 3, the National Assembly delegation including comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture andEducation ; Ma Thi Thuy, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the National Assembly delegation of Tuyen Quang province; Lo Thi Viet Ha, standing member of the National Assembly's Social Committee, Vice Chairman of the Group of Young National Assembly Deputies of the XVth tenure; Au Thi Mai, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, deputy of the XVth National Assembly of the province met with voters of Yen Son district before the 8th session of the XVth National Assembly.

Delegates met with voters who are workers and laborers in Yen Son district.

Attending the meeting with voters were comrade Nguyen The Giang, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and departments, branches and sectors of the province; leaders of Yen Son district, specialized departments and sectors of the district and a large number of voters of Yen Son district.

At the conference, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Ma Thi Thuy informed voters of the expected agenda of the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly. The session will open on October 21, 2024 and is expected to close on the morning of November 30, 2024. The session will be held in 2 phases, phase 1 from October 21 to November 13, and phase 2 from November 20 to the morning of November 30, 2024 at the National Assembly House.

The session will consider and pass 16 laws; pass two draft resolutions on piloting the mechanism for handling evidence and assets during the investigation, prosecution and trial of criminal cases and the National Assembly's Resolution on the organization of urban government in Hai Phong city; and give opinions on 12 other draft laws.

The session also reviewed and decided on socio-economic issues and the State budget for 2024, and reviewed and decided on the socio-economic development plan, State budget estimates, and central budget allocation plan for 2025; and supervised and reviewed other important issues.

At the conference, voters of Yen Son district made recommendations to the National Assembly Delegation of the province on issues that voters and people are interested in, such as: Investing in and upgrading the DT188 route and the route from Yen Son hydropower plant to Chiem Hoa district; upgrading the 29 km long DT185 route through Kim Quan, Trung Son, Hung Loi, Trung Minh communes, which has recently been seriously degraded due to the impact of storm No. 3; renovating and upgrading the DH20, DH25, DH18 routes; considering investing in the expansion of the sand burial cemetery at Km8, Trung Mon commune; building a low-voltage station supplying national grid power to serve the lives of people in Luong Cai village, Cong Da commune; investing in the construction of telephone transmission towers.

Voters also requested the Government to amend and supplement Decree 75/2021/ND-CP on allowances and preferential treatment for people with meritorious services, and amend regulations on social protection beneficiaries receiving social benefits in Clause 4, Article 5 of Decree 20/2021/ND-CP...

Voters also gave their opinions on the draft Law on Trade Unions (amended), ethnic policies, education and training, natural disaster prevention, environmental protection, and overcoming consequences after floods.

The opinions and recommendations of voters of Yen Son district have been received, discussed and clarified by the leaders of Yen Son district People's Committee and provincial departments.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education Nguyen Dac Vinh acknowledged the interest and monitoring of voters and people of Yen Son district in the activities of the National Assembly and the provincial National Assembly delegation. The opinions and recommendations of voters will be received by the provincial National Assembly delegation and forwarded to authorities at all levels and relevant agencies for consideration and resolution according to their authority.

He also answered some specific recommendations from voters. At the same time, he requested the People's Committee of Yen Son district and the provincial departments and branches to prioritize urgent recommendations and advise the province to have a specific plan and roadmap to fundamentally and systematically resolve some of the opinions and recommendations raised by voters.

The provincial National Assembly delegation presented 100 million VND to the Fund for the Poor of Yen Son district.

On this occasion, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation presented 100 million VND to the Fund for the Poor of Yen Son district and presented 50 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to 50 workers in difficult circumstances affected by storm No. 3 in Yen Son district.
