Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics announces floor score, predicts benchmark score in 2025

(Dan Tri) - The minimum admission score to Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics remains stable compared to 2024, the benchmark score tends to fluctuate up/down within 1 point.

On the afternoon of July 21, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) officially announced the threshold to ensure input quality (minimum score, floor score) according to 5 methods.

Accordingly, the floor score remains stable compared to 2024.

“With the current registration status, UEH predicts that the benchmark score will tend to fluctuate up/down within 1 point depending on the training program,” the school informed.

In 2025, UEH will not conduct early admission, the school will use 5 admission methods.

The 2025 input quality assurance threshold of UEH Ho Chi Minh City campus (KSA) in the admission method based on the results of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment test combined with English proficiency is 702 (scale of 1,200 points).

Admission method: Candidates with good academic results have a minimum score of 22 (30-point scale).

Admission method is based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam combined with English proficiency for training programs from 20 (30-point scale).

For the training facility in Vinh Long (KSV), the threshold to ensure input quality at UEH Mekong (KSV) is 601 points (1,200-point scale) in the admission method based on the results of the competency assessment test of Ho Chi Minh City National University combined with English proficiency.

Admission method is based on the results of the V-SAT university entrance exam organized by Can Tho University in 2025 combined with English proficiency, receiving applications from 225 points (400-point scale).

Admission method: Good academic results send 19.5 points (30-point scale). Admission method: Based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam combined with English proficiency for the training programs in the project is 16 points (30-point scale).

The input quality assurance threshold does not include priority scores by region or subject, and is not multiplied by coefficients.

Up to now, UEH has received a large number of applications from both the Ho Chi Minh City campus (school code KSA) and the UEH Mekong campus (school code KSV, studying in Vinh Long).

At KSA, 70% of the applications are from candidates with excellent academic achievements or higher, or are specialized school students, excellent students at the provincial/municipal level, 40% have international English certificates equivalent to IELTS from 6.0 or TOEFL iBT from 73 points or higher, or have excellent student awards at the provincial/municipal level.

At KSV, 50% of the applications are from candidates with excellent academic achievements or higher, or are specialized school students, excellent students at the provincial/municipal level, 20% have international English certificates equivalent to IELTS from 6.0 or TOEFL iBT from 73 points or higher, or have excellent student awards at the provincial/municipal level.

To increase the chances of being admitted to UEH, the school notes that candidates need to submit full evidence to achieve maximum bonus points to increase the chances of being admitted to UEH.

Priorities include: Valid international English certificate IELTS 6.0 or higher; first, second, third prizes in provincial and city-level high school excellent student selection exams; awards or recognition of excellent students in grades 10, 11, and 12.

UEH encourages students to register for their second choice at UEH Mekong (school code KSV, studying in Vinh Long). Students studying at UEH Mekong campus receive the same quality of training, the same degree, with tuition fees equal to 60% of the HCMC campus.

Final year students will participate in a study rotation program in Ho Chi Minh City and have the opportunity to participate in student exchange programs with economic schools across the country and the international student community.
