In the 2020 - 2025 term, the Border Guard Command presided over the synchronous, comprehensive and effective implementation of border protection measures. Organized 2,627 times with 25,296 people participating in border patrols and protection; coordinated with Chinese functional forces to conduct 14 bilateral patrols with 430 people; built 313 border marker inspection routes with a length of 69.5 km, total value of 49 billion 219 million VND; guided and presented people to plant 17,750 bamboo trees along the border with a length of 16.318 km, total value of over 400 million VND; installed 1,526 solar lamp posts along the border patrol route with a length of 76.66 km, total value of nearly 3 billion VND; processed procedures for 6,290,325 people entering and exiting the country with passports and travel documents; 1,730,946 road vehicles and 4,043 rail vehicles; nearly 30 million tons of goods.
At the same time, the Border Guard force coordinated with localities to organize 2,935 concentrated propaganda sessions, attracting over 188,000 participants; supported the construction of 32 houses, 86 works and specific tasks; presented gifts to policy families, meritorious people, poor households, and students with a total value of over 10 billion VND...
Foreign affairs work has been strengthened; combat readiness regime has been strictly maintained; leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party committees and organizations have been enhanced. Grassroots democracy regulations have been strictly implemented, and the work of building agencies and units has been focused on; cadres and soldiers have strong political will, ready to receive and successfully complete all assigned tasks...
In particular, after the merger, there are many new tasks with high requirements. The Party Committee of the Border Guard Command determined to soon develop a leadership and coordination regulation to lead, direct and guide agencies and units in implementing tasks; build a solid defense area, especially in the process of implementing the 2-level local government model. The Party Committee of the Provincial Border Guard Command advised the Provincial Military Party Committee to well implement the coordination regulation with the police force, local Party committees and authorities of border communes; well lead the implementation of key political tasks, firmly manage and protect the sovereignty and security of the national border, strictly maintain discipline, law and work on mass mobilization, foreign affairs, etc.
At the congress, delegates discussed and contributed opinions to the documents of the Party Committee of the Border Guard Command, the Provincial Military Party Committee, the Border Guard Party Committee...
