The 11th Nha Trang City Front Congress, term 2024

Attending the event were Mr. Tran Ngoc Thanh, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province; Mr. Ho Van Mung, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Nha Trang City Party Committee.

It is known that in the past term, the Front and its member organizations of Nha Trang City continued to promote their roles and responsibilities in propaganda, mobilization, gathering, and strengthening the Great National Unity; well implementing campaigns, patriotic emulation movements and social security activities. In the past 5 years, the Nha Trang City Fatherland Front Committee has mobilized to build the "For the Poor" Fund with over 2.6 billion VND, receiving support from the superior Front and agencies and units with over 6.9 billion VND.

From this amount, the Nha Trang City Fatherland Front Committee supported the construction and repair of 89 Great Solidarity houses for poor, near-poor and disadvantaged households, provided capital for production, helped poor students who love to study, and provided relief to families in need.

Mr. Ho Van Mung, Secretary of Nha Trang City Party Committee, presented a banner to the Congress.

In addition, the Nha Trang City Fatherland Front Committee organized visits and presented Tet gifts to poor, near-poor, and extremely disadvantaged households, and donated clothes, school supplies, and computers to students in Ba Cum Bac Commune, Khanh Son District, with a total amount of nearly 1.4 billion VND. The Nha Trang City Relief Committee mobilized and received over 8.3 billion VND, more than 100 tons of rice, necessities, and medical supplies to support frontline forces in epidemic prevention, poor, near-poor households, and families in difficult circumstances due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In addition, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nha Trang City coordinated with the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs and member organizations to propagate and mobilize the "Repaying gratitude" Fund for more than 4.2 billion VND, supporting the construction and repair of 63 houses for beneficiaries with a total amount of more than 2 billion VND and visiting and giving gifts to policy beneficiaries on holidays and Tet... Social supervision and criticism activities continued to receive attention to improve quality and efficiency, becoming regular and key activities of the Front and socio- political organizations of the city; expanding and improving the effectiveness of people's foreign affairs activities, strengthening solidarity, friendship and international cooperation.

In the 2024 - 2029 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nha Trang City and all levels in the city always focus on strongly innovating the content and methods of operation to promote the strength of great national unity, well perform the function of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people, strengthen social supervision and criticism, actively participate in building a strong Party and government, contributing to building Nha Trang City to be increasingly prosperous, civilized and happy.

The Fatherland Front at all levels from the city to the commune and ward strives that each unit annually carries out at least 2 projects and tasks, 100% of the commune and ward Fronts deploy the construction of the Residential Area model "Solidarity, safety, prosperity, happiness", strives to support the construction of at least 40 new Great Solidarity houses by the end of the term, 100% of poor households, near-poor households, and households in difficulty when facing natural disasters and epidemics are promptly supported and assisted by the City Fronts at all levels.

Nha Trang City People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of the Front during the past term.

The congress elected 62 delegates to join the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nha Trang City for the new term and sent a delegation to attend the Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front of Khanh Hoa Province. Mr. Dang Quoc Bao was re-elected as Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nha Trang City for the 2024-2029 term.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 collectives and 5 individuals, and the People's Committee of Nha Trang city awarded Certificates of Merit to 10 collectives and 15 individuals with outstanding achievements in the past term.
