Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand organizes fundraising to support flood victims

On the afternoon of September 11, the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand organized a fundraising event to support Vietnamese people affected by storm No. 3 (international name: Yagi ).

According to the VNA correspondent in Bangkok, in response to the call of General Secretary and President To Lam, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand on the afternoon of September 11 organized a fundraising event to support people in the country affected by storm No. 3 (international name Yagi). Speaking at the ceremony held at the Embassy's headquarters in Bangkok, Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Pham Viet Hung said that in the context that people in many localities in the country are struggling to cope with the devastation and impact of storm No. 3, which has caused severe consequences and huge losses, the Embassy organized this fundraising event to express its sympathy and join hands with the government and people in the country to help people in areas affected by natural disasters. Following the call of Ambassador Pham Viet Hung, all officials and employees of the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand and other agencies such as the Trade Office, Military Office, Representative Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Resident Office of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Voice of Vietnam Radio , Vietnam News Agency in Thailand participated in donating to support our compatriots in the country. On this occasion, Ambassador Pham Viet Hung sent a letter calling on organizations, groups, individuals of Vietnamese people, businesses, and philanthropists living, studying, and working in Thailand to promote the tradition of solidarity, "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves," to share and provide spiritual and material support to support our compatriots suffering the consequences of storm No. 3, contributing together with the Party and State to quickly restore production and people's lives.
