After a period of negotiation, on June 13, Vietnam Television (VTV) and Viettel Military Industry and Telecommunications Group ( Viettel ) reached a cooperation agreement to broadcast matches within the framework of the 2024 European Football Championship (Euro 2024) final round on VTV channels.
According to this agreement, Vietnam Television will broadcast all matches and programs related to Euro 2024 on VTV channels and be transmitted on infrastructures with rebroadcast agreements including terrestrial, cable, satellite, OTT (VTVgo and TV360 applications)... within Vietnam.
All 51 matches at Euro 2024 will be broadcast live by VTV, along with commentary programs before, during and after the matches. Along with the opening and closing ceremonies, VTV will also organize accompanying programs such as "Euro 2024 Diary", "Euro 2024 Colors"...
Euro 2024 takes place from June 15 to July 15, broadcast live on channels: VTV2, VTV3, VTV5, VTV Can Tho , online on VTVGo.
According to the broadcast schedule, the 8pm matches will be broadcast live on VTV2 and VTV Can Tho channels; the 11pm matches will be broadcast live on VTV2 and VTV5 channels (matches at the same time).
Matches taking place at 2 o'clock will be broadcast live on VTV3 and VTV2 (for matches at the same time).
To prepare for broadcasting matches within the framework of Euro 2024, VTV has developed content and technical plans as well as organized 2 teams of reporters in Germany to deliver to audiences nationwide the most timely, rich and complete information.
