On June 13 in Hanoi, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense held a conference to review three years of implementing Conclusion No. 01 of the 13th Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05 of the 12th Politburo "On promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" and two years of implementing Resolution No. 847 of the Central Military Commission on promoting the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", resolutely fighting individualism in the new situation.

Be present in vulnerable and dangerous places to help people

Over the past three years, the entire army has organized the study, research, and implementation of Conclusion 01 and Resolution 847 to ensure seriousness, rigor, unity, and effectiveness. The contingent of cadres and party members, especially the leading and key cadres at all levels, have always been pioneers and exemplary in all aspects, upholding the responsibility of setting an example.

Agencies and units in the entire army in general, and military academies and schools in particular, have proactively researched and creatively applied Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh thought to practical tasks.

Implementing well the motto: "Respect the people, be close to the people, trust the people, understand the people, learn from the people, rely on the people and be responsible to the people", cadres and soldiers have actively helped people develop the socio-economy, build new rural areas, and sustainably reduce poverty.

Along with that, the entire army has helped people with more than 7 million working days; provided free medical examination and medicine to nearly 2.5 million people, supported the construction of 6,613 solidarity houses and many other meaningful activities, contributing to social security, improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people.

The entire army mobilized more than 238,000 officers and soldiers; more than 13,000 vehicles, participated in 4,312 search and rescue cases, saved 4,078 people, and evacuated more than 40,000 households to safety.

The image of military officers and soldiers always present in vulnerable and dangerous places to help people cope with natural disasters and epidemics has further illuminated the good nature of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new era, gaining the trust and high appreciation of the Party, State and people.

In the face of the earthquake disaster in Türkiye, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense promptly directed the organization of forces to participate in disaster relief. Along with that are the contributions of the military forces participating in UN peacekeeping operations at missions, contributing to spreading the beautiful image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" to the people of the world, deeply demonstrating the pure international spirit.

Promoting self-awareness and setting examples for cadres and party members

On behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, General Phan Van Giang highly appreciated the efforts of officers and soldiers of the entire army, and at the same time requested Party committees and Party organizations at all levels in the Army Party Committee and the entire army to continue to thoroughly grasp Conclusion No. 01 and Resolution No. 847 in conjunction with studying, researching, grasping and implementing the resolutions and action programs for the entire term to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 11th Military Party Congress and resolutions of Party congresses at all levels.

The General emphasized the importance of actively studying, researching, and creatively applying Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on all-people national defense and army building, contributing to the good performance of the strategic advisory function to the Party and State on military and national defense.

At the same time, it is noted that the entire army needs to focus on researching, supplementing, and perfecting theoretical thinking on military and national defense, and building the army in new conditions.

In addition, agencies and units need to strongly innovate the content, methods, forms of learning, propaganda, and education about Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style, and the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in a practical and effective manner, regularly organize preliminary and final summaries, draw lessons, honor, disseminate, and replicate advanced models at all levels; improve the effectiveness and efficiency of inspection and supervision work.
